Greetings. My wife and I will be visiting Iceland in early Oct. We have Verizon cell service and iPhones. We’ll be renting a camper van from Cozy Campers and they offer a tablet with 4g wifi. I’m thinking for calls from family while we’re gone (we’re trying to limit this) we can use Facetime audio. What about if we need to make calls to somewhere in Iceland? Note that like most Americans our phones are locked in to Verizon. Does anyone have advice on this?

I have two cats, and at night we put them up in the loft, where they’re comfortable and not bothering us in the middle of the night (they’re still young and rambunctious). The loft is also my music area, and I’d like to be able to leave my sax on a stand, but I’m afraid they’ll knock it over. Is there a stand that might be good for keeping a sax on it, perhaps with a strap?
Wife and I finally booked our late Sep early Oct trip! We’re arriving on a Sunday at 04:50 (yes AM) which seems typical of flights from Stewart Airport in NY. I’m wondering how to handle the first day. We have a camper van reserved for that day (booking is flexible) but my wife thinks we might want to get a hotel the first night. My concern is since we’re arriving so early, what to do? The hotel probably won’t have a room for us that early. Maybe get the camper van that day instead and take a nap at a nice spot? However Cozy Campers opens at 09:00 which leaves some time to kill. Does anyone have any experience with what to do here?
Hi, looking for advice. I want WI-FI on my dock. It’s about 60 yards from my back door. Would this be an acceptable solution: run Ethernet to the back door and mount this outside:
TP-Link EAP610-outdoor
Greetings! I’ve been reading posts here lately since I’m in the early stages of planning an October trip from NJ USA. Our priorities are northern lights, hot pools, and waterfalls, and of course food. We’re looking at either early or late October, and plan on renting a camper van for about 10 days or so. Since our first priority is the aurora, we’re avoiding mid October and the full moon. Would early or late October be better for this?
Also, I’m looking at the Cozy Camper Highlander 4x4 for the camper van - the moon roof is a big selling point for me. Is a 4x4 required or advantageous for traveling around that time? Are there any other camper vans with a moon roof?
Thanks in advance! I’
Hi. I have two adorable three month old Ocicat kittens. They keep eating our dog’s food. I think it’s best that they eat their kitten food, as adult dog food is not nutritious enough for growing kittens. Any ideas about how to keep them from doing that? It’s so much easier keeping our little teacup poodle from eating their food than the other way around!
My friends and I play a lot at a local Par 29. It’s very low key and informal, no tee times, no starter, you just pay and go. However, when it gets busy there can be a line of people waiting to tee off. In spite of the staff at the register saying to group up, so many people insist on going out as pairs or singles when there’s a bunch of people waiting. A few weeks ago, a guy was getting angry (perhaps he was a bit more belligerent than he should have been) as someone insisted he go out alone when there is a huge crowd waiting to tee off. What is up with that???
