I want to see the Amalfi Coast from the water, and I'd like to know how scenic the boatride from Naples to Amalfi Town would be?

Would it be as nice as those ferrys connecting the various Amalfi Coast towns?

Or, would it be better to go to Naples to Sorrento, and then take the ferry between Sorrento and Amalfi town?

I'm confused about trying to apply any promos or discounts when buying tickets for Italian trains.

It was my understanding that you could find promos on Friday's on Italotreno website, specifically the Italian version, for promos or discounts, that would last the rest of the weekend.

But, I'm on it, and I don't see anything even though its still Sunday in Italy. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or there's not just promos available.

I see offers for 2 X 1 or for Seniors, yet I don't see any price difference even when I select those options.

I do see discounts on Trenitalia for seniors, but you'd need a cardfreccia for that. But, I've read that it was a real hassle to get that

I almost always avoid taking taxis, but I'd need to take one to get from Rome to Ninfa's Garden- I would take the train from Rome to Latina Schola and then take a taxi for about 5 miles to get to Ninfa's Garden.

But, everything I'm reading about taxis in Italy pertains to taking taxis in cities like Rome, Florence, etc...

How do I avoid getting ripped off like in this blog:

https://www.aesme.co.uk/blogposts/giardinodininfa

At the station there are taxis, which are an absolute rip-off at 50 euros for a return trip (it’s a 10-12 minute drive) but there is no other way to reach the garden (it’s not a very nice walk) so you are a sittin

I opened up a Chase Sapphire Preferred a year ago in June, but I have decided I don't want to renew it again.

So, I know its better to downgrade the Chase Sapphire Preferred to a Chase Freedom Card.

But, I'm not sure when I'm supposed to downgrade it.

Am I supposed to downgrade it before I get charged another annual fee? Or, wait until I get charged another annual fee, and then downgrade it within 30 days?

I looked at other threads, and both answers were given.

And, I already have a Chase Freedom Visa with Ultimate Reward Points. So, does that mean I can only downgrade to the Chase Freedom Flex or Unlimited because you can't have 2 Chase Freedom Visa with Ultimate Reward Points cards

Bonjour. I've never visited Montreal and Quebec City before, and I'm trying to decide whether to visit in September or October.

What's the better month in terms of weather- not too cold or rainy- and to see fall colors?

I'm coming from Southern California so I don't really have rain gear or anything for cold weather beyond just a sweater, and I'll probably try to limit what I'd bring anyways to try to avoid Air Canada's additional fees for even carry on luggage.

And, there's not a lot of fall colors in Southern California so I'd ideally like to see the fall colors in Montreal.

But, correct me if I'm wrong, it seems like September would be better for weather, and October would be better

Anybody have any success buying tickets to see the Kamogawa Odori in Kyoto through a travel agency?

I know you can buy seats directly through their website, but you can only buy the more expensive special seating if you buy it from their website.

So, I'd like to buy their cheaper seats, but it seems like I can get those seats if I buy it through a travel agency but I can't seem to find which travel agencies would sell those tickets. Their website says you can also buy tickets from a travel company they have a contract with, but doesn't list those travel companies.

And, I've tried buying from JTB and Kyoto Travel agency without any success.

Anybody else having problems with trying to book tickets for the Katsura Imperial Villa?

I filled out their online application, but I got this message that my request was denied:

"The maximum capacity has been reached, and a lottery selection was conducted, resulting in your application being unsuccessful."

This is a bit confusing because it seems like there's still plenty of available openings for the time and date I selected.

And, to make it more confusing, their calendar shows that May 11 is closed that day. But, when you went to the online application, it showed the number of available time slots available on May 11. And, something like May 12, the online application showed that it w

Has anybody done a virtual presentation for Hyatt Vacation Club in order to get the World of Hyatt Points or a gift card?

https://www.hyattvacationclub.com/home/two-ways-to-play/#:\~:text=Learn%20About%20Ownership%20and%20Earn%20World%20of,or%20up%20to%20a%20$150%20gift%20card.

Would I be able to use those points for any Hyatt property, or just for a stay at a Hyatt Vacation Club?

I'd like to stay at Hyatt for an upcoming trip to Tokyo, but the points are kinda high and the cash price is insane.

I have a upcoming 10 day trip to Japan from May 9 to May 18 , and I have the concepts of a plan to do on each day with the exception of 1 day. So, I'm trying to decide what to do with that day- should I stay in Okayama or use that day as an extra day for Tokyo?

Before the Japanese trip, I'm flying from America to Taipei and staying there for several days so hopefully the jet lag won't be that bad for the Japanese leg.

Day 1: Fly from Taipei to Kansai Airport, and go to Kyoto Hotel. The flight will arrive at Kansai at night, so I don't expect to really do anything that day except go to the hotel.

Day 2-4: 3 Days in Kyoto to see temples, shrines, and gardens. I have already booked ticket

Why are the reviews towards the Santa Fe Station harsher when they're the same company using the same recipes?

I noticed that the Oyster Bar at Palace Station gets 4.5 star ratings, but the Oyster Bar at the Santa Fe Station only gets 3.5 stars.

With tables and more seating which means a shorter line and wait, I would have thought that the Santa Fe Station would get the same or even higher ratings.

How hard will it be to get lunch in the Alwahnee Hotel Dining Room on a weekday?

Do I need to get there early before 11:30AM, or can I just show up to get a table?

I'm reading that reservations are recommended, but they're only giving out reservations to guests staying in the hotel.

Any other suggestions for other places to eat?

Couple of questions about visiting MacArthur as a first timer:

1)The southern part of MacArthur park was fenced off and cleaned off and just opened last week, but the northern part, the part across Wilshire wasn't so I'm assuming that area is as bad as it was before.

So, should I also just stick to the southern part and the lake, and avoid the northern section of the park?

  1. Would you also recommend visiting nearby Layfette park too as this article suggested:

https://www.latimes.com/health/la-he-walks-macarthur-park-html-20150321-htmlstory.html

  1. Where's the parking?

I hear that there's meter
