How to Set Up Multiple Controllers w/Hotkeys in Retroarch (Android)

reddit.com/r/RetroArch/comments/1qdv1hi/how_t...Hi folks,
This guide is for anyone like me who has been struggling to get a “Switch-like” experience with their Android handheld via Retroarch. I have used various workarounds and hacks over the years to try to make it as seamless as possible to plug my Android device into a dock, pick up a bluetooth controller, and have an identical control scheme (including hotkeys). I’ve also had a few well-intentioned folks on the Retroarch forums/subreddits tell me that what I was trying to do was not possible. Apologies to anyone who finds this guide redundant, but I had to do a great deal of searching and piecing-together of information online to get to this point.
Anyway, there are two steps which
Hello,
I know this sub is primarily about hand knitting, and I have posted some of my work on here in the past so I hope it's okay that I'm asking this community. You folks have been so helpful in the past!
I embroidered on this store-bought knit hat and tried to iron the embroidered area. The result, as you'll see in the pictures, is a pretty nasty looking ripple in the brim and visible iron marks. I've already tried soaking and air drying on a forma, no luck. I soaked it again in warm water and put it in the dryer but so far that doesn't seem to have helped at all. What else can I do to rescue this and make it look presentable for the intended recipient! 😭 Photo link below, the hat
Hi folks,
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, I am so very light on detail with this one that no amount of AI or googling has helped me find it. Here's what I remember:
*I read this book around 2000-2005 *I got the book from my local library *I seem to recall a kind of dark green color scheme for the cover, but that could be a false memory. *I remember being very frustrated by the cliffhanger ending - I think the protagonist was either presumed dead or was dying. If there was a followup book I couldn't find it at my library and I'm not sure it even had one *I believe the book is set on another planet, I recall the protagonist having his own space ship. *The protagonist was
First of all, love the site and appreciate all the work that has gone into it. I think I misunderstood the most recent update though. I was under the impression that it would enable me to combine my logs/playtime/finished # across multiple versions of the game. For example, right now if I go to my stats page it says I beat Chrono Trigger 3 times, but I have an additional playthrough on SNES (the other three are DS). Similarly, my play time for Mario 64 is split up between the N64 version, Android port, DS version, etc.
So my question is: does this update create a way to combine stats across versions? If so, how can I accomplish that with my old logs? Thanks for any help y'all can provide!
Hi folks,
I just finished the brim of my first knit in the round hat and realized that I've been knitting inside out. No big deal for K2P2 but now that I'm just knitting it's become apparent to me that I'm inside out. My thinking is that I can just turn the hat the other way around when I'm done and no one will be the wiser, but there are a couple things I want to confirm before I commit to that:
-
Will my k2tog decreases look weird on the right side if I'm knitting inside out?
-
When I switch to 2 circular needles for the smaller portion of the hat, will I have to purl every row? Or can I just reorient the knit at that point so that I'm knitting right side out again? Or does it not
Hi folks,
I am making the Garnstudio Flagstone Hat (pattern linked below). This is my first knitting in the round project, my first hat, and my first time with a pattern that has multiple sizes. I think I understand most of the pattern, but there is one part I would like some advice on.
After finishing the ribbing for the brim, the pattern says: "Knit 1 round where you decrease 11-8 stitches evenly spaced". My question is: how do I determine how many stitches to decrease here? I am knitting the largest size (CO 120 st). So should I go for the largest decrease of 11? What effect will the different decrease amounts have on the fit and finish? The fact that the decreases are listed 11-8 rathe
Hi folks,
After a lot of trial and error, I have BFI running pretty consistently on my O2P. I haven’t seen any good guides popping up yet, so I thought I would share my settings for others, like myself, who bought the O2P primarily for that sweet 120hz refresh rate & BFI. Here we go!
General Android/Odin Settings
These are available from Android quick settings. If you don’t see these when you pull down from the top, press the pencil icon in the mid-right of the screen and add the settings to your quick menu.
Performance mode: High Performance
Also set fan to Smart if you don’t want it blasting you – mine basically doesn’t kick on unless I’m doing Wii emulation or benchmarks.
Hi folks,
Mastering engineer here, looking for some advice from those with video/film experience. I sent off an audio master to a videographer for sync, and they told me that they would be turning my master down so that peaks do not exceed -6dBFS. My master is normalized to -0.1 dBFS. I'm not in a position to inquire further with this person, so I'm asking you folks - is there some technical reason that audio for video might be turned down so much? This video will not be played in a film/at a theater but on consumer playback devices such as computers, home TVs, etc. so it seems strange to me that maximum volume wouldn't be desirable. Any insight into mastering for video would be apprecia
I just got mine and the screen is only running at 118hz, which causes a lot of flickering with beam emulation & black frame insertion. Already emailed AYN, hoping it's something they can fix with an update.
Hi folks,
I would appreciate an experienced eye on my second ever FO. There are a couple errors that are just oversights on my part (a weird row where I got off the K1 P1 pattern, YO in the wrong spot), but I'm hoping for some additional insight into why this "square" is so asymmetrical. I have been learning to knit Norwegian style and I'm thinking that maybe my K2tog is stretching out the stitches too much, which would explain why my eyelets are larger on the decrease side than the increase side. Solution? Learn a different method for K2tog? Try to knit looser on the increase side?
Also, for some reason my bind off created a point instead of a flat/slightly rounded corner. Really not sur
I am at the penultimate boss and trying to do a victory lap of the map but it seems like I'm missing an ability. There's a fifth (empty) ability slot in the menu and these blue glass platforms that I can't walk on without breaking them. Is this something I need the DLC for? I have been googling for an hour and I can't seem to find what I'm missing . . . Thanks in advance for any assistance.
