I bought the Books. I am serious when i said i would buy the books. I also got a book on building game engines. It actually has information about Matrices, Vectors, and all the other Math needed.

But basically for this question. I am asking is it neccessary to Learn the whole C++ book? Or just some sections of it? I've never programmed in C++ or C# but i am going to go for it.

I mean i've worked with HTML5 and CSS3 and Javascript but those aren't even programming languages. But still i am going to go into C++. And yes i am going to be using UNITY. Fact is. I am going to start using a bunch of other engines and i am going to be doing it for practice. But i am serious about at one poing actu

Hey all. Currently, I am trying to analyze some electrophysiology recordings, and I'm looking for an appropriate statistical test for the data.

In short, I have electroantennogram recordings for two groups of insects in response to some odor compounds. The responses are normalized to a solvent (set to 0), and the values can be negative or positive. For simplicity, I will provide some sample data and explain what I want to figure out:

Insect Group 1

  • Dataset 1: 26, 22, 10, 20, 30, 27, 12, 11, 17, 14

  • Dataset 2: 184, 184, 211, 176, 172

Insect Group 2

  • Dataset 1: -17, 11, 2, 7, -3, -23, -10, 0, -8, -3

  • Dataset 2: 132, 154, 166, 166, 120

It's clear from my data that the resp

With the help of r/buildapc and r/buildapcsales, I built my first computer almost seven years ago. I've gotten so much use out of it, and I have zero regrets. So thanks guys.

Backstory

Now I'm back because this week my 7950 died. Ultimately, my goal is to build a new computer that's a little more cutting edge and let my girlfriend use my current/old computer so we can game together. In the meantime, I'm hoping to get some recommendations for a GPU to tide me over, and maybe some strategic advice for the next build.

GPU Recommendations

For the GPU, my budget is sub $300-400, but if a lower price can get the job done, all the better. I mostly play DotA, but I still want to be

Hey everyone!

Who

Just little ol' me, a 29 year old grad student.

What

I am looking to join an ongoing campaign with a slight bent towards the RP/story/narrative elements of the game as opposed to a heavy focus on hack and slash dungeon crawling. Though a balance of the two would be ideal.

When

I'm available most days of the week (except Saturdays) and would prefer a time around ~7/8 PM CST or ~0200 UTC.

Why

I've currently been DMing 5e for maybe a year and a half or two years with no prior experience. I ran LMoP and then some of OotA for a group of friends before now switching to a homebrew world I'm trying to piece together. But I fell into the DM role more out

Twitch Chat Bugged

Bug Report [Resolved]

Anyone else having issues with Twitch chat while watching on the computer? Over the last week or two, Twitch chat won't load in any channel that I watch so I have to use the pop-out feature. But now even that feature is broken. Regardless of the channel, this is what I end up seeing.

After watching Purge coach Slacks, I admit I'm surprised at his lack of early game fundamentals. I mean, I've got less than 500 games played and definitely don't execute well but I at least try to improve upon the basics (stacking, pulling, zoning, itemization, etc).

I've seen a lot of people asking how Slacks could possibly be 4.7k in light of his playstyle, but I think that's the wrong way to think about it. It's not that Slacks should be 2k because his early game sucks but rather he could be 5k+ if he improves, and that's exactly what's going to happen.

So to everyone sitting at 2-3k wondering how Slacks has a higher MMR than you even though you crush the laning stage, the answer is

Hey everyone. Sorry if this isn't the appropriate place for this type of question. Originally, I posted this to r/Camera, but I got limited feedback and was hoping for some other opinions.

I have very little experience when it comes to buying cameras, so I'm looking for some recommendations.

Here's what I'm looking for:

Price Range - Prefer ~$250, Would Consider ~$500

HD Quality (1080p)

Durable

Image Stabilization

Flip Screen

External Audio Jacks

Basically, I'm looking to make medium length (5-15 minute) vlog-like videos that will be shot indoors (stationary) and outdoors (movement). This is why I think image stabilization, durability, and a flip
