I got a quote from a joiner to build me some alcove shelves (5 total, 2 on one side, 3 on the other), a desk on one side and a tv stand/cupboard on the other. Not sure if I should just DIY (I have never done it before though) or pay the £1250 he requested.

My partner expects lambing to start next week. For context, he rents land about a 45 minute drive from our flat, and he plans on staying on the farm a few nights a week and coming back to see me when he can. Anyway, as a gesture I want to make him a care package for lambing; I plan on including his favorite snacks, but is there anything else you may find useful during lambing? Just want to get some opinions! Thanks :)

Hi everyone, just writing to let you know that my area has been hit with multiple burglaries over the last few days. Repeatedly every night our FB page has been reporting their car being broken into. We have tried to contact the police about this but they don’t much.

Just a reminder to leave nothing in your car. They seem to be using a device to activate your keyless fob.

Hi, my crew and I are coming over from the UK, racing Saturday. We’re our university’s alumni boat so basically a beers boat and want to sesh after we race; the thing is in the UK it’s common that the boat club will have an afterparty because most boat clubs have an attached bar and club room space.

Curious if any of the boat clubs around would have something similar that wants to host two 8’s worth of brit’s or if people just go out in Boston usually after racing

I'm a 23F and I've been getting compliments from people like "I love your skin tone" or "sometimes you look so Indian that its striking". Like... are these weird compliments to receive? Anyone else relate?
