My front door lock has started getting annoying lately. The key goes in, but it catches when turning and sometimes I have to wiggle it a few times before the deadbolt moves.

I’m trying to figure out if this is something simple like alignment, dry lubricant, or a worn key, or if the lock is just reaching the point where it should be rekeyed or replaced.

For people who’ve dealt with this, what’s the usual order of troubleshooting? Key copy first, lubricate the lock, adjust the strike plate, or just replace the cylinder?
