One of my personas is a male named Lysander. I chose that name so he fits in with settings in fantasy or the past, no other significance.

I started a Shakespeare RPG bot, currently working on it now. Bot drops Lysander in the middle of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I couldn't remember exactly how the plot of that play went so I looked it up, and... it has a character named Lysander in it already.

I'm going to guess the bot specifically picked Midsummer Night's Dream because of Lysander being my persona's name, so not REALLY a coincidence. I'll check it later with one of my female personas to see what happens, but I just thought that was fun.

You can report an alliance's name or motto, that's fine.

But if you're the alliance lead you can report YOUR OWN alliance's name or motto.

Why? Why would I report my own alliance instead of just changing the name??

It's just annoying seeing this big triangle on the alliance page like I'm in trouble for something when it's just "REPORT YOUR OWN GROUP FOR BAD WORDS" basically.

Also jfc the new font is making my eyes hurt.

There's been a few posts lately about some VERY RUDE people belittling crochet and crocheters as an old person's hobby so I thought I'd share a positive story!

Having done craft fairs and garage sales before, I figured it would be a good idea to bring a blanket I was working on because I was figuring on there being stretches of dead time - nobody coming by to buy anything, I mean.

So I was crocheting that blanket for most of the day off and on, and I had maybe a dozen people say something like "Oh those colors are great!", and one lady in particular who I would gauge as

The three "municipal liaisons" for my county on the website all stepped down on March 11, for moral/ethic reasons. While I've never actually interacted with any of the local NaNo stuff anyway, it does give it some punch that like oh... my local representatives for the website no longer wish to participate based on how NaNo has... shall we say, done things.

Anyone else's "municipal liaisons" quit? Apparently it's entirely up to NaNo to decide who to assign in the now-vacant posts, I wonder if they'll bother or just decide to lump us in with King County.

Gotta say, I'm happy to just use this subreddit as a replacement for the website proper this year if things don't shape up good and soon.
