Are there any specific rights given to a victim who has experienced both domestic violence and intrafamilial labor trafficking? Does it count as a systemic failure if said victim was ignored by police and the DA’s office but officers performed wellness checks at the behest of traffickers? What about if police answered but never came to a 911 call the victim made?
This 4th of July, please join me in helping abuse survivors in San Bernardino county have the opportunity to be free again someday! This could set a precedent if we can push it through. Make the Justice system recognize the rights of victims. We are not JUST victims. We are people- men, women and children with all the freedoms of everyone else. Sign the petition to help free DV victims by upholding Marsy’s Law this Independence Day!
I moved to the MidWest, and I’m poor but happy with my life now. Women like me left behind in California are not. Please help them experience freedom this Independence Day!
DV victims are often abused again or trafficked by abusers or family members when left in vulnerable positions. Please sign this petition asking San Bernardino County to enforce the victim rights law. End the exploitation of victims! https://c.org/ZFXRrZB67T
But this isn’t for me or even about me because I fled the devastation I faced both during and after the incident. This is about saving other victims of abuse. What happens when the Justice system fails us, and what how do we help other people? I’ve posted a petition on behalf of other domestic violence victims in the county I used to live in. It’s not political. It’s life… or death. Please sign it, and help them.
Thank you.
