Hi all,

Hoping someone who has dealt with PayPay's id verification system can share some insight.

My official legal name on my Residence Card consists of 6 individual words (First, Middle, Last). When attempting identity verification on the PayPay app:

  1. The character limits/field setup don't naturally fit 6 separate name parts.
  2. If I combine my middle names into one field (or append them to my first name), the automated eKYC system flags a character/spacing mismatch against the OCR scan of my Residence Card and instantly rejects it.
  3. Combining all Katakana names without spaces or matching full-width English characters hasn't bypassed the scan error either.

Hey everyone,

I’m a motion designer specializing in 3D motion flyers and logo animations. I’ve been trying to get my freelance business off the ground, but I’ve hit a bit of a wall and could really use some guidance.

I’ve been running promotions on TikTok and Instagram to showcase my work, but so far, I haven’t received any actual orders. I’m confident in the quality of my animations, but I’m clearly missing something when it comes to the "business" side of things.

A few things I’m curious about:

Platform choice: Are there better places than IG/TikTok to find people specifically looking for motion graphics ( event organizers, DJs, or small business owners)?

Outreach vs. Inbound: S

Hi everyone, I’m seeking some advice regarding National Pension (Kokumin Nenkin) payments. Here is my situation:

Arrival: I moved to Japan in August 2025 for a new job.

Income: I currently earn 200k yen/month, but my 2024 income in Japan was zero (I wasn't in the country yet)

Status: I am currently 4 months late on my payments (August, September, October, November). I just received a large envelope with a bunch of slips, including a 6-month prepayment slip for ~104k yen.

Visa: I’m on a work visa and worried that being "late" will hurt my future renewals.

My questions:

Am I eligible for the Full Exemption (Menjo) for these months since my 2024 Japanese income was zero?

Does my

Hi, does anybody know the legal process of translating a book from English to Sinhala. The book is from late 1800s and its public domain. As far as I know anyone can translate a public domain book without an approval from the original publishers/author. I just want to know whether there are specific rules in Sri Lanka which might stop me from translating. Thanks in advance!
