Hello, hurricane damage claim. State Farm. Upon reviewing my latest final estimate, I noticed that it is missing around $34k of damage for items: hazardous material/asbestos removal, water remediation and tree removal. These items have already been included in previous estimates but they are not listed in the most recent one. Two line items are removed completely and the tree removal was deducted from previous demolition line item now showing $500 when it was $9000 (with tree removal)

This estimate has increased based on some other items like additional roofing repairs and other things to the tune of about $40k, but with the removal of $34k in line items it only goes a little higher. I am c

Hi. During hurricane beryl on 7/8/24 my home suffered a loss due to neighbors large pine tree. 1/3 of my home is damaged including need to fully gut kitchen. House was built in 1967, and an asbestos test came back positive @ 3% from the popcorn ceiling and drywall. The ceiling has fallen and the asbestos exposure is serious. Along with asbestos, the remediation team found mold starting to form and began abating the mold. We were also without power for 7 days after the storm.

As soon as we found out about the mold 10 days later, we decided to go to a hotel as we awaited asbestos test results. My daughter is highly allergic to mold as it is. Asbestos came back positive back and we have been

Hardship ended, can't make 50% payments any longer. Got notification I am two payments behind but trying to make 10% payments still. It's a losing battle at this point. I will never catch up. I'm wondering if anyone here has talked to a bankruptcy attorney about a personal bankruptcy and still keep the business. Service-based, can't run without my husband. or just let it go to treasury?

Sucks that people who didnt pay last two years, went to treasury, now are able to get it back and get on 10% payments. Make it make sense.

My husband and I have been using grounding sheets for 2 months with great results. I am planning to get all the parents earthing products for Xmas. My question is have any of you had good results from just a pillowcase? My concern is they will be weirded out about the sheet but if they can get good effect from the pillowcase I’d rather start them there. I’d hate to buy them sheets and then they don’t use them.

What has been your experience?

I see a lot of mentions about the AI programs and companies utilizing them. I’m curious to hear what a service based business/industrial contracting may be able to use it for. I have used it and can see how powerful it is, I’d like to understand how I could use it for my business. We work off of repeat business normally. Any tips?

I just recently got into earthing and got some mats and a fitted grounding bed sheet. Among some other notable benefits, I had no idea that my husbands snoring would just magically disappear! The first night. And now the 2nd.

Im used to waking up grumpy to tell him to turn around/stop snoring and being kept up by it. I wasn’t even expecting anything on the snoring but I am very excited and see it as huge plus. Please tell me this is the new normal 😄

I am looking for opinions on company car vs car allowance for a long time employee.

He has been with us for the majority of our time in business, 8 years. He is skilled in a particular highly technical trade and is our highest paid guy.

The dilemma I’m having is addressing how to move forward with his car benefit. Historically we have provided him a vehicle as a perk, the vehicles have been extra vehicles we had given him access to. So he has always used it to commute to and from work and all his personal driving has been paid by us. Fuel card and insurance.

Two years ago we helped him with a down payment on a house and he decided to move clear across the other side of the city. About
