Why? Is it a problem with a mesa driver? What debugging info would I even look at?

How do I troubleshoot/resolve this?

Don't be like me and have a little panic because you forgot to let the tarball finish downloading before running the diff.

My kid and I are sick and isolating. She’s fine, bouncing off the walls even, but I can’t get to my PC.

I don’t even miss it! I can still play Portal 2 with my kid. We’ve nearly finished the co-op maps (major life goals, there) We even played some community maps today (special shout out to Designed for Danger!) and I just want to say thanks. It’s nice to be able to play when I can’t get to my desk, or when I’m too tired to sit up.

I've been trying to get the dualsense adaptive triggers working in deathloop. Last night I played through all four segments of the loop then closed the game and tried a fix (modprobe hid-playstation with Mutcholoko Haptic-Feedback-Linux) and started getting this error. It was late so I went to bed. This morning I've tried different proton versions (that worked previously) but keep getting the error anyway.

It's not the end of the world, but getting blocked from anti-cheat for a game I own is annoying.

Scene: I'm at my desk and my water bottle is empty. I get up to go to the fridge and pour the (little) remaining water from the filter into the bottle. I may or may not refill the filter, depending on what kind of a rush i'm in.

While walking back to my desk I take a sip of the nice, refreshing, cold water then sit back down at the desk and put the (empty) water bottle down with a clank.

Then I stare at the pills. The pills I can't take without water. The pills that help me remember to do stuff. dammit.

I was hanging the Xmas lights outside (yes, tonight) and I was annoyed by another interruption from my phone, so I tossed it dramatically. In my defense, I was hungry and this not thinking straight. Usually it lands on a corner and bounces. The case is really good. But it landed flat face down. Fully shattered.

At least it’s an old phone, and the lights look nice.
