Disclaimer: I'm about to make some gross generalizations. Obviously there has always been a diverse set of people in the community and many of them engaged in and talking about politics.

I fell in love with the psytrance community the moment I went to my first festival. So much positivity and collaborative spirit. Values like peace, coexistence, acceptance, open-mindedness really vibed with me.

On the other hand one thing always bugged me: How "unpolitical" this community was. On the one hand it seemed that there was so many people engaged in political activity. Going vegan, doing drugs, reconnecting with our bodies - all of these are acts of rebellion, they reject societal norms,

Hi, I've been chaotically reading different stuff and learning Vulkan to implement stuff myself. I'm a bit confused about raymarching.

I have read about SVOs and SVDAGs and how they can be traversed to trace rays.

From my understanding, raymarching requires a signed distance field or SDF, and uses that to advance the rays.

Can these approaches be combined? Does that even make sense? Do you just store the distance at a certain level inside the tree?

My impression is that SVOs already have a pretty good mechanism for avoiding empty space so doing both should be pretty redundant.

Bonus question: What other optimizations are actually necessary or totally not necessary?

Hey all!

I've only done like maybe 20 runs or so (3 hours of gameplay), but I haven't made it past the promenade or the sewers level. I unlock like maybe 10-20 cells each run, but that barely leads to progression. I'm finding myself getting frustrated because I keep dying in the promenade... Am I just bad at this game?

Anybody got any (spoiler-free) tips? I've been scared to look at youtube because of spoilers

Hi. I set a password when I set up my system. For some reason, when I try to do anything with sudo in the terminal, or enter it in a dialog, it doesn't accept my password. I am 100% sure what the password is, but I went through the guide to reset password anyway, booted back up, and it still doesn't work. I'm losing my mind here!

obligatory disclaimers:

  • Yes, I am typing it correctly, I just typed it twice when I reset it
  • No, my keyboard is not in a different language I typed it in the regular terminal to verify

Has anybody else experienced this? I've never seen this on any linux system. I could swear this used to work. Is
