Sebo D4 Onyx vs. Miele C3 Brilliant

NSFWPurchase Advice (U.S.)

My fiancee and I want to replace my Miele U1 with a canister because I'm tired of the weight in my hand and I'd like something that's much easier to clean up high with for dusting. We're cleaning mainly hard floors and only carpeting in the bedroom, in a 750 sq ft apartment. We'll be buying a home in the next few months that would be around 1200-1600 sq ft that would also have the same flooring type. She has one dog, she has asthma and I have allergies. I'm interested in a Sebo D4 or Miele C3 Brilliant for our home, my local premier dealer has both vacuums at $499.99 with a 2 year warranty. The Sebo is 4 years old, and the Miele is 9, she prefers the look of the Sebo, I like both, but w

Rainbow Fury is my first build from 3 years ago, and I'm considering some hardware upgrades. I wish I bought my RAM upgrade 6 months ago when prices were at their all time low, but here we are.

Is 16GB more of RAM and an RX 9060 XT (16GB) a worthwhile upgrade without bottlenecking the GPU? It would be cheaper for me to do this now than upgrade to a DDR5 system with these prices right now. I've seen performance of this GPU paired with my Ryzen 5 5600X and it definitely seems like a worthy $500 upgrade.

I'm afraid that the prices for this GPU will increase soon to the $500-600+ range, so I see it as a worthwhile investment for this PC to last 5+ more years.

Looking to sell my Vito Resotone Low Eb Bass Clarinet, since I've upgraded to a Low C Bass Clarinet. The instrument has recently been fully serviced, disassembled, cleaned, two pads replaced, corks checked, and adjusted & regulated by Dietze Music in Nebraska.

Key plating is worn less than 5% and doesn't affect the instrument playability.

Comes with upgraded Pro-Tec PB319 case and 7 new Rico 2.5 strength reeds.

$750.00 USD

For an advancing student, what clarinet do you recommend out of these three? This would be my first clarinet, and I've been playing for the last 3 months on a rental Jupiter CC-65.

Backun Alpha (Like New, Demo): $649.00

Yamaha YCL-52 (Complete overhaul): $750.00

Jupiter JCL-710N (New): $549.99

Both the Alpha and YCL-52 are online only, and the JCL-710N can be purchased from a local regional music store.

I've never played a wooden Bb Clarinet but I've played a wooden Noblet Bass Clarinet in the past and enjoyed the response and sound quite a bit. I'm very curious how playing a wooden Bb Clarinet would be like, I'm just worried about cracking since I live in a region that gets very cold

I've recently tried the Backun Alpha and Royal Global Max and am curious if anyone with smaller hands has issues reaching some of the left and right hand pinkie keys with the Alpha. For me, I have trouble reaching the left hand Ab and D, and the right hand D and Eb, it feels like I really have to think about reaching those keys. Then again, this is my first low C, so I'm unsure if it's the Alpha's ergonomics not working for me or if all low C bass clarinets are this way to some extent. I didn't experience this on the Royal Global Max, reaching those keys felt more natural to me. Shame because I like some of the Alpha's features like the triple Bb correction and the freer blowing nature.

As some of you may know from my previous posts, I recently bought a used Vito Resotone. However, before and after I've had it worked on, I've noticed it's very resistant and hard to blow in the clarion G and beyond. I'm unsure if my technician did a poor job with their adjustment and regulation as it feels like the instrument isn't sealing properly. I'm unsure if it's adjustment, or bad pads (they replaced two). I'm considering taking it to another technician for a quote on how much more work it would need to become easier to play, such as a full repadding or overhaul. However, I look at sites like Taylor Music selling overhauled student Eb bass clarinets for around $800-1500, and the B

How do these two clarinets compare against each other? Yamaha seems to be the highest recommended brand to stick to when it comes to student model clarinets, why is that? Is Jupiter not considered as good? Do Yamaha clarinets have higher resale value than Jupiter?

I'm considering buying a Jupiter JCL710N since that's what I'm currently renting and playing on and I quite enjoy it. My local music store has them available for around $600 if purchased in full. Are there some other models besides these two I should consider around this $500-700 price range?
