Been debating getting one of these for the past few months but had settled on looking at a LCD after the recent Valve price increases. I happened to check Marketplace and someone posted their pristine "LCD" 512GB Steam Deck for $600 CAD ($425 USD). However upon further review, I noticed the thumbsticks were black...

Fast forward to meeting up later that day, I did an inspection and noted that LCD's were going for $500, so we agreed on $550 ($389). I noticed the power button was orange but wasn't sure if the thumbsticks or power button could be modified. Having never seen one in person it was hard to tell the sceen quality from the factory reset menu/settings. I only realized when I got home

I'm looking to enter the space as I travel for work and have a long international flight later this year. I have a pretty big library with at least 10 games off the top of my head that I would play. My question is two parts: is the OLED vs LCD justified for the ~40% cost difference and are the current market prices even worth it? I have also considered a laptop for light gaming and browsing. This would be a tertiary system behind my PC and PS5.

There are quite a few available for the following on Facebook Marketplace around me:

256GB LCD - $500 CAD/$350 USD

512GB OLED - $800/$560 USD

(I do know I should check the serial number and verify everything is working before buying).

Thanks!

Got a nice bonus from work coming in and was browsing skins to upgrade my inventory. I realized that I don't really care about the gun skins as much as the knife (currently Stiletto Blue Steel). I'm an M4A4 main and use a Magnesium - StatTrak (I just don't care for most of the skins). Thought about a Printstream USP-S and didn't love it enough to pay for it.

Am I crazy for wanting to liquidate my inventory and with a top up get a nice glove/knife combo instead? Do I go full Elige?

I think they fixed the BF Pro Pass

Saw the concerns of completing the BF Pro pass points, didn't realize finishing the weekly challenge would give me 85 points. Finished off the Battle Pass (Level 110) and BF Pro pass in one session (2 games).

For the regular BP, I had Pro and played 85 hours, finished 99% of the week to week challenges (yes, I enjoy some BR and Gauntlet from time to time). I could only play 1-2 hours a night, every other night.

Bit of a question and a bit of a rant. I recently sold my M4 and Huntsman because I got some cash and want to upgrade my knife. It never really crossed my mind but I saw a Falchion Doppler Phase 3 and I really fell for it. I'm a sucker for draw animation but the skin, inspect, and right click is so satisfying. Solid choice?

HOWEVER, with the trade hold on verified funds, the knife is starting to spike in price, going from $275 to ~$320. Was trying to keep it at $250-$275 and replace my M4 play skin. Should I be patient and wait for it to come back down, or just go with an Ursus Doppler, the window has closed? PS. I hate the fund hold, even though I know why its there.
