Adopted a rescue beagle a few months ago. You can tell that she never had any training before and most of it is manageable. The biggest issue is that she keeps jumping towards you if she thinks you have something of value, toys or food. Looking online, aside from ignoring her and staying still, the other method I found was training them to sit instead of jump. No luck so far with that. Wondering if anyone has some tips?

Been working in the preclinical side of the industry for a few years now. What are everyone's thoughts on its future? Seems like it will be phased out at some point, and I mean sooner rather than later.
Im considering trying to transfer but I either have no interest in the role or it feels just as unsafe in the long-term. I don't mind the current job, just thinking about the future.
Curious about everyone's thoughts.
My fiancé and I are considering moving to Bordentown. Not an ideal commute for me to New Brunswick but it works for her commute.
We like the idea of living near a downtown/main street like area. Other options we considered were Hightstown and Highland Park but seems like its decently pricier with less inventory.
Can anyone provide feedback on living in Bordentown? Are the train tracks im seeing on Google maps active?
We have been negotiating for a few days now. They havent been the most reasonable people id say, even my realtor pointed that out.
When going over the seller's disclosure form again, my realtor noted that based on the age and location, he was surprised there was nothing noted for an oil tank. He decided to do some detective work and found that permits were pulled in regards to an oil tank removal from the townships website. Two permits were found, one a month before the current seller's closed and another about a month or two after the seller had closed.
I guess its possible they genuine forgot or maybe weren't the ones who directly applied for the permits? Its only been a few years though
Hi All, currently home shopping and was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on my situation. I made about 130k annually and although it can fluctuate, it hasn't really the past few years (120k to 135k to 130). Im and hourly employee who does a solid amount of overtime. My wife makes about 80k. So together its more or less around 210k. I have no debt, she has some credit card and student loans that total to only 5k. No children and both cars are paid off. The houses were looking at range from 400k to 600k. We both put contribute to our individual 401k and she has about 120k in savings and I have about 30k. We are going to be inheriting about 350k (post tax). We got a pre-approval a few mon
Hi All, Considering Hightstown as an option to move too. Ill be working in New Brunswick, but have potential to be transferred to Princeton. Any insight on the area? And how's the social scene? Or if there are any nearby towns that should be considered. Ideally would be walkable. I have a budget of about 600k, could go higher if needed.
Hi All, There are a few houses in the area that we're looking at that are within our budget. However, all 3 of them are flipped houses (two of them, the owners upgraded before moving out and the third, a flipper purchased from the previous tenant and never moved in [but hes owned the house for 3 years now which makes me feel hopeful he put in actual effort]). I know flipped houses can be sketchy and was wondering if anyone knows of any home inspector that specializes or is very experienced with flipped homes. Were looking at Middlesex county, not far from New Brunswick specifically. Any help would be appreciated!
I recently came across some money that I would like to put in a HYSA. I am planning on purchasing a house relatively soon as well (assuming I find the right one). I was planning on putting a sizeable down payment with the money, not sure how much yet but I would like to keep my payments as low as possible without putting all my money towards it. Are there any HYSA that dont have a transfer limit? Seeing as it could take months to actually find a place I like, I would rather let it sit and collect interest. But when the time comes, I'd like to be able to transfer it out easily in one go.
Back in June of this year, a now fixer upper was sold for 290k. Now in August, it is back on the market for 339k.
Any ideas why it would be almost 50k higher, when it very much needs a lot of work?
Hi all Im currently undergoing the eminent domain process with the local township. They are dragging their feet with this which is frustrating because why are you telling me you're taking my house and not following up? I haven't heard from them since their initial notice of the process. I did get a lawyer who tried contacting their people but apparently the township’s lawyer is on vacation. Annoying but ok. So I have to wait until Monday the earliest for an update on the situation. Has anyone been through this process? Since my house hasn't even been appraised yet, it might be too early to start looking for a new place which is a bummer because I recently toured a place I would seriously con
