Man esot problēmas ar gudrības zobiem, jāraujot.

r/Bible•

Hi all! I've been wanting to start actually reading the Bible in english (For many reasons I won't get into here) and I've been thinking of a CEV simply because it spoke to me (and is easier to read as a non-native speaker)

But I wanted to know what the common consensus on CEV are - are they good? Faithful translations? Any experiences?

Thank you!

I just realized this is..a pretty big issue in my life??? And I have no idea what causes it

I'll think of a joke or be mid conversation and instead of verbally replying I think of what I went to say and then internally go "Oh CRAP WAIT SAY IT OUT LOUD THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING!!!"

Please hear me out..any comments appreciated! OCD has got me spiraling

I (used to) believe God gave us the ABILITY to do good/evil ON OUR OWN (as a gift). And that "no man is good" not in the sense that we can't do good (we can - it's out gift from God) but that we will NEVER be "good" like God (finite beings and tainted with sin) only through him we can't BE "good" (so we must always look to him for guidence), but we CAN (because of his gift to us) DO good.

But I'm conflicted because I've heard (and started to believe) that it actually IS God working THROUGH US in all things (every want to be good, every nudge we feel, every good emotion felt is GOD) - and he just..lets us FEEL like it's

I've always been under the impression that God created us as seperate beings with the ability to do both good AND bad - creating us in his likness. (But that ABILITY ALWAYS comes from him, it is a GIFT. And of course, through only his gift of grace and guidence through the Holy Spirit are we saved. Like...we are a toaster and God is electricity - we can do Gods will and toast the bread, but only because he gives us the power.) (This is also how I interpeted Jesus's parable of the vines/branches)

He also gave us a choice (because he loves us and wanted us to have free will) - we chose sin and evil. Obviously, EVERYONE falls short from the glory of God.

(Please note I'm NOT saying our abili

Hello! I figuredthis be a good place to ask. So I've never played DnD, but have heard if it and today I got invited to play by a group because they're starting a new campaign

They know im a complete noob but...ugh Im so nervous??? (Social anxiety doesn't help)

I have about 6 hours to prepare - what's some good stuff to watch/read for a beginner?

The only character that comes to mind rn is a ranger (as per DM's suggestion) with amnesia who's obsessed with the unknown and magic, because they believe it can cure them

Is that good enough for a first time? Ughhh Im so nervous haha

Hi all, long time lurker here!

Recently (like..4-5 months ago) my left side tooth decided to partially-erupt.

Visited a dentist, said it "was basically straight" but my gum would always partially cover it, making it hard to clean.

Took and x-ray (which, btw was a charge I was informed of only AFTER I went to pay..ugh!) and they said I should pull ALL my wisdom teeth because "they look like they have a dentency to come out) (...what does that mean???)

The left bottom one doesnt really hurt (but I guess I get the hard-to-clean issue) but the upper one has been stinging lately, so Im thinking of getting that removed.

But if I only remove them on one side...will...my face change??? Like w

I'm not sure if I'm just a wuss or if I've been allergic to toothpaste my whole life and only now noticed...but does brushing your teeth...burn?

Whenever I brush, my whole mouth feels like it's on fire. Like its so sensative the toothbrush feels like needles, it itches too..but like, so much it hurts. Mouth itches a few minutes after too

Is that just the spearmint? Do other people experience this? Or is it something else?

Hi all! Got a wisdom tooth coming out (needs to be pulled since itll never fully erupt), but I'm terrified. I don't know how TS differs from other forms of sedation, but when I had stiches on my leg taken out I was given a pill that was described as acting like TS....except I remember everything, it hurt. And I was sick for the rest of the day.

So now im paranoid TS wont work for me.

Ideally, I'd go fully under..but no doctor near me wants to deal with full sedation for just one tooth. (Also its like 600 for just one)

Not sure what Im looking for, advice or just comfort...but I'd appreciate any suggestions!

Hi! Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but im not sure where else to ask a question this specific, home thats ok

Does anyone have any suggestions for simple games (perhaps card based?) that can be moddled to be played on walking tours? (In case the party gets caught in the rain or something - plenty of gaziboos to hide in and wait it out here)

I volunteer as a tour guide for my city and have been learning from other guides. Some have some sort games they play with the visitors to help educate them about the city and I thought that was neat..but am running dry on ideas

One I saw that I thought was fun was what was described to me as the game "Codenames", where one half of a card
