What happens if a LO doesnt currently qualify for medicaid 5 year look back but requires more care than one person can do at home? They just cannot be admitted anywhere and are forced to continue living under those circumstances at home?

Hope this finds everyone at the start of one of the good days. I am in search of a toilet lid lock for my mom. She is still continent but flushing washcloths down the toilet to the tune of $500 every time I call roto-rooter, not to mention putting our septic at risk. All the ones I see on Amazon are plastic that stick on - the last time I tried a flush lock like that, she just ripped off the adhesive and we also had the unwanted behavior of her removing the poop from the toilet at putting it under a pillow on the couch (which luckily/unluckily I found before anyone else discovered it by accident). I am at my wits end trying to solve this problem without creating worse problems. I though
My husband (48) and I (55) have been caring for my mom (74) for 5 years now. We moved about 1.5 years ago to a smaller town in East TN and no longer have family nearby to look after mom when we need to travel. It has been over a year since we have seen our grandkids and we also need a break. Mom is still fairly independent with bathing toileting and eating but with stage 5 other symptoms, wandering, etc. We would like to find someone to come stay in our home with her for a week (they would have their own private guest room & bath), no cooking, meds or nursing care, just light meal prep, companionship, and making sure she doesnt wander off. How would we find such a person? How do we vet them
