Hey everyone.

Been around for a while, mostly offering help in terms of gameplay design, but today I'm the one with a question... Specifically regarding packaging.

I'm in the final stages of getting my game ready for marketing and production, and while the game itself is mostly done, with mostly some balancing polishes left... That game needs to be sold, inside of a package presumibly... I don't think it would do to just give people a handfull of lose components and "you deal with that". Anyways, I love Hades 2. I think it's a marked upgrade over Hades 1 in most areas... Except boss gameplay design.

There's genuinely an intentional or subconscious design shift in the way boss encounters are designed in Hades 2 and I'd argue the game is worse off for it. Let me explain:

Hades 1 designed most of its bosses in a very "Dark souls" style (call it whatever you want), in the sense that with few exceptions, the patterns to beat a boss in Hades 1 was: memorize the boss attacks and how to beat them, then react accordingly.

Hades 2 isn't like that. Knowing the attacks isn't that i
