PART 1 Here

Odds and Ends

-Scott's rag looks like an angel wing. It doesn't shift positions when he sits down and gets up. Is Prairie's age represented accurately?

"In a dream you are never eighty." ~Anne Sexton

-[Ep. 1 -14:34] Steve laughs when she says what year she was born. Prairie gives him the look of "Come on, you said you'd pretend to believe me"

-The phone in the boarding school she's supposedly talking to her parents on is antique.

-How can you tell you're in a dream? In therapy Elias suggests that she may be in another juncture

[Note: All the times are in "time remaining" which is the format Netflix uses on the web. If you are watching it somewhere else subtract the length of episode from -XX:XX time. Here is a list all the episode lengths to help with that]

Part Two Here

Indulge me for a moment. Take a look at [Epsode 1 -1:07:30] but instead of watching it for what it is, imagine Prairie is in a coma or locked in state. She can hear and feel, but everything SHE is saying is only being said in her own head. Now watch the scene.

**Nancy touches Prairie's unresponsive hand to her face. The nu

It's been already noted that the "The Oligarchs" book by David Hoffman in the Amazon box in EP 8 is a real book. In the episode, it has one dog-earred page.

The page is only visible on two frames:

and the opposite page:

I purchased the book, but the text and page numbers are not visible in the episode. However, I was able to find the page by flipping page by page around where I estimated it was and looking for the paragraph pattern of open space on the page. Here is the dog-earred page:

Can someone translate what Renata says to Hap first when they first meet? Also a little clue I noticed in another thread: He says he doesn't speak spanish but later understands what the person on the phone says at the hotel. Also can someone translate that?

Thanks!

What exactly is the bridge prarie jumps off in the opening scene? I mean the reality of it by cross referencing the visuals, not what we think it is based off the story. It looks kinda like the SF bay bridge, but there's a tunnel bit or a bit with a crossbeam overhang at the start of that video- not sure if that works for bay bridge or if a st louis bridge fits those characteristics. Can anyone help with that?

The lengths is a key theme in each episode. Using the numerology solved and posted in The Unfinished House Wiki (with attribution) here are the summaries:

Episode 1: 71 minutes, aka, 1hr 11 minutes. The story of a powerful male (1) and a victim (11) (Steve and Prarie, could also be Steve as the victim) Episode 2: 58m About a family, abel&nancy (5) and a powerless female, Prarie (8) Episode 3: 60m, aka 1hr 0 minutes about Prarie's disloyalty (10) Episode 4: 64m aka 1hr 4 minutes. A powerful male's damage. This one I'm not sure. Elias isn't a good guy, so that could be some damage. Also this ends with Homers NDE and the damage could be referring to that. Not clear on this one. Episode 5:

TL;DR Khatun is a fallen angel. The OA is the daughter or instrument of the Devil. Think of the Devilish advice she gives in first episode: "develop your secret desires and longings"...End TL;DR

The show is full of religious themes and mythology. Here are some things I've synthesized together from all these posts and more, as well as some of my own insights:

-Hap, whose first name is Hunter is later called Angel Hunter aka Angel: "Hunter"

-He has lots of Satan references, including serpent over the bed, living near a mine (hell), pilot aka winged and also prince of the air (aka Devil), general evil tendencies

-The Angel, Hunter (Hap) always gets his victims by luring them, never by force
