We have been dealing with bottle refusal with our EBF baby for the past month and it has been incredibly stressful. Our baby was taking occasional bottles in months 0-3 on occasion - we admittedly weren't super consistent with bottles, but she would have a few a week and I even left her with my parents for a weekend at 8 weeks old and she drank from a bottle the entire weekend I was away.

Suddenly at 4 months she started to refuse. She'd arch her back, turn red, push the bottle away and start crying at our attempts to bottle feed her. We tried switching up feeders, new bottles, leaving bottles around her line of sight while playing to keep things "casual", played with empty bottle nipples,

I've received verification codes via text in the past, but for some reason today none of them are coming through my phone. I've tried switching up browsers and have attempted to have the code re-sent several times with no luck.

Anyone else facing this today? I assume it's a glitch on their end? I've tried calling customer service and keep getting stuck where they say their call volume is too high and to try calling back later.

I just received my Momcozy M5 and I’m still getting the hang of things. One of my biggest complaints so far is that you really can’t see what’s going on - both in terms of how much milk you’re getting and in terms of where your nipple is in the flange to ensure proper placement.

  • Since you can’t really see how much milk you’re getting in each boob while pumping, how do you all gauge if things are working?

  • It seems really hard to align your nipple placement properly since you aren’t able to see your actual nipple in the flange. Any tips?

Thanks in advance!

Looking for any wisdom this community may offer.

Our son is almost 2.5 and we potty trained him shortly before he was 2. He has no issues with pooping at home and has consistently lets us know when he has to poop.

He’s in preschool 3x/week and has developed a fear of pooping in the potty at school. No issues with peeing at school though.

Even the topic of poop at school seems to stress him out - if his teachers ask if he has the poop, he will immediately start crying and gets quite anxious.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? Thank you in advance!

TW: mention of miscarriage

We had our NT scan today along with our genetic counselor meeting. All went well with the scan and our NIPT results came back low risk as well.

I’m in a “gray area” with my age (will be 39 when baby is born) and my OB said if I was 40 she would generally recommend diagnostic testing (in addition to NIPT screening) for genetic conditions. Our genetic counselor was really informative today and helped us think through the decision of more diagnostic testing.

I am leaning towards doing a CVS for more certainty especially given the strong track record of the MFM doctor who would perform the procedure - his miscarriage rate is incredibly low and significantly lowe

My best friend lost her father earlier this year and recently found out she's pregnant with her second daughter. I'm helping her post here to get some inspiration/ideas for girl names that could honor her father's legacy.

My friend's dad LOVED Italian cashmere so she's trying to find a name that gives "Italian cashmere" vibes :) Any suggestions?

If helpful, her first daughter's name is Colette.

Thank you for any ideas you have!

I'm trying to understand the risks of pre-eclampsia through modified natural cycles. I developed pre-e with my first baby and am worried about developing it again since I'm now at greater risk for developing it again.

My understanding is that pre-e risk is lower with modified natural cycles vs. controlled cycles. The main question I have is if modified natural cycles still pose higher risk than spontaneous pregnancies? We have been TTC for a while now (I'm 38) and we're weighing out all the risks of continuing to try vs. pursuing IVF (through a modified natural cycle).

Does anyone have any insight or links to research papers on this topic? Thank you so much!

This sub has been so helpful for me as I’ve navigated my prediabetes journey, so a big thank you to this community.

My A1C in early pregnancy in 2022 was 5.3, then after I had my baby it went up to 5.7. I started wearing a CGM and learned a ton. I suspect I developed insulin resistance during pregnancy. Even though I passed the gestational diabetes test in very normal ranges, my baby was born with all the telltale gestational diabetes signs (over 9lbs, hypoglycemic, and in the NICU)

Fast forward to April 2024, my A1C jumped up to 5.9. My BMI has consistently been about 20.7 both pre and post pregnancy. I took this as another wake up call and saw a dietician, wore a CGM again, and made so

My husband finally joined the club and is in love with his MX-5. I also have been loving driving his car around 😃

He has a big milestone birthday coming up and I’m looking for some inspiration on Miata inspired gifts to get him. I know any modifications would be highly personal (like a weighted shift knob?) so perhaps I could get him a gift card somewhere so he can make his own selections?

Any other suggestions from fellow Miata lovers?

Thank you for your help!

Just wrapped up Day 3 of the Oh Crap method for our almost 2 year old (23 months) and I’m pooped. Took a few days off work and we have the weekend ahead of us to (hopefully) make progress.

Our son had his first poop on the potty today on day 3, but all of his pees have started out as “accidents” on the floor then I’ve redirected him to finish in the potty. When he does pee on the floor, I say something along the lines of “Next time your pee goes in the potty. That was an accident”

He now says “accident” even when finishing his pee in the potty despite us praising him when he does finish his pee in the potty.

Any advice on “accident” confusion?

Thank you! And solidarity to everyone out

We're moving to Culver City (already have a place to live) and initially our office was in Culver City but plans have changed and the office is now in Sherman Oaks. Can anyone share if they have experience commuting from Culver City to Sherman Oaks and what this is like? Luckily this won't be a daily commute, but will be 2-3 times a week. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

So glad I found this community because I can’t seem to find a lot of information on Reddit about pre-e as I’ve been searching in various subs.

I developed pre-eclampsia during labor at 39+1 (according to my OB it was “mild” pre-e, but I’m not really sure if that really means anything?) I haven’t spent much time really reflecting on this or doing research on what this could mean for me until recently. Our baby is now 10 months old.

My OB cautioned me that I’m now higher risk for pre-e for future pregnancies and at higher risk for hypertension. After labor I was advised to monitor my BP and everything was normal after birth. I actually don’t know how high my BP ended up getting during labo
