Won't bore you with a story, long and short is I sent in the paperwork to transfer a UTMA account to my control (as the significantly former minor and beneficiary), and I now own:

An account with MFS,
Valued at ~$23,000,
Invested in MFS Aggressive Growth Allocation Fd 1829 (I) (Ticker: MIAGX)

I have no idea what to do with it. My first thought was to leave it alone. Second was whether I want to leave it as an aggressive growth fund (I don't need to grow it quickly). Third was if I want to start making investments into it (probably).

Fourth is if MFS is even a good company to have handling my money?

It should be noted that I don't need to touch this money. I have no debts to settl

Honestly, what the fuck, Mazda. This is the same chassis and body (and probably powertrain) as the CX-90 PHEV, just with the third row seating deleted. It's the same chassis and body as the CX-70 Turbo.

So why is it lacking features they have? It doesn't have wireless carplay (which is purely software!). It doesn't have lane centering assist. It doesn't have 360 degree parking cameras (that one, at least, has additional hardware requirements).

Why can we not at least get the latter two as add-ons like we can the digital rear-view mirror?

And then there's some of the baffling powertrain design decisions, like putting the electric motor on the engine side of the transmission and not the d

(Virginia) Neighbor is on video ripping my eastern redbud sapling out of the ground - 2024-05-05

TLDR -- (location: VA) neighbor came onto my property -- I have her on video coming from her yard and carrying yard debris, looking around as she goes, walking up to one of my redbud saplings, ripping it out of the ground and breaking it in half a couple of times as she walked back to her property. I opened an automated investment account (managed by Members Trust Company) with a moderate risk portfolio through my credit union. Something that I've noticed is that it's targeting about 37% of my portfolio to be in SPDR Bloomberg Barclays Aggregate Bond ETF (SPAB). That fund, from what I can find of it, seems to be pretty bad - it's been losing value on average for nearly four years.

Any idea why such an apparent stinker of a fund would be picked, especially for a significant chunk of my portfolio? I would think there's a reason, surely a professional group knows investments better than me, but I honestly can't think of one.

I just built a new machine to replace my ailing decade-old one, but for some reason it won't detect my HDMI monitor - whether it's plugged into the motherboard HDMI port or the GPU HDMI port. The monitor and cable are known good.

I've been trucking along on an old i5-4690k for around a decade or so at this point with just some incremental upgrades - a bit more RAM here (up to 4x8 GB DDR3), a slightly better GPU (GTX 1650) there, dismantling the PSU to swap the fan out because I'm pretty sure its bearings were going bad or something (the noises were not good and they stopped after that), etc.

But at this point I think it's starting to get to the point where any upgrade I do, I might as well just build anew, since the core of it is so old. Besides, I can actually do that now that I have a stable job and an emergency fund built up (which I won't have to dip into).

It doesn't help that NVIDIA and Intel apparently don't

Specifically, I'm asking regarding No Man's Sky, which was doing this prior before spontaneously working for one session - after closing it and suspending the machine, and then waking it again, once more it's not working (immediately after waking, it tried to compile shaders and then failed back to as though the game were never launched, now it's back to being stuck on "loading"). But it's happened frequently with other games and no amount of restarting (another issue I have is any time I close steam, I have to restart the entire machine to get it open again), getting rid of prefixes, verifying files, etc. seems to help.

The moderation team is defining "Saturday" as starting based on the GMT-12 time zone. We recognize that for some of our users, this makes it "Sedimentary Sundays" instead.

As well, there may be some overlap with the night before and the morning after, and the time period for posting may be a bit more than strictly 24 hours, as we are human (and this is something that couldn't be automated even before this debacle) and nobody on the team lives right up next to the international date line. We will not, however, contract it to less than 24 hours.
