I saw a Stelter article about the current administration stripping inconvenient parts of history from its websites. It’s the next of a good number of censorship acts by the current leaders (including the military service of Jackie Robinson? Come on, now) and it got me thinking, what are the texts that we should focus on preserving?

While digital texts are probably the most in danger, the book banning crowd is getting more vicious in small areas around the country.

I figured this was the best place to ask: what should we be trying to save from this blatant historical rewriting?

Playing my way through the series over the last year and I finally got around to really sinking my teeth into 13. I wanted to share my overall thoughts like I’m sure has been done a hundred times but hey what else is reddit for.

Tl;dr, damn I really liked it, mostly.

What an incredibly good looking game. I played this on PS3 and was floored by some of the visuals this thing was able to pull off. The characters could look a bit silly and over-designed at times but that vibe of the world and aesthetic of the people in it are phenomenal.

Music was phenomenal, but that’s par for the course in the series.

I really liked the combat, eventually. I was a big fan of 12’s gambits and

I’m making my way through the FF series and finally sank my teeth into 15. I had tried once before but honestly I bounced off the combat tutorial hard with a lack of interest.

Many games later, and I’m glad I gave this game the time it deserves. Overall, the “this needed more polish” sentiment persists through most of the game but god what a good time.

The gang was immediately likable. It took seconds for them to endear themselves and just hanging out in the car was a fantastic time. “Boys roadtrip” is such a fun concept for a grand fantasy adventure and they absolutely nailed that aspect. Hell, I even liked the little addition of having to fill up on gas and plan my trips on not running

Given the recent exodus I’d love to add more wonks on the platform.
