I made a post thing morning ranting about how Guild Wars 3 was only announced for PC and PlayStation. However, I just saw this quote from a dev interview today and thought some people here may be relieved to hear it:

“[Plus], adding a new engine with us [using] Unreal Engine 5, and adding consoles all at the same time – it was a lot of things, and we’re not a huge studio. We’re a mid-sized studio. We can only tackle so much, and so we really wanted to focus on: ‘Let’s do one console first and do it right, and then we can evaluate exploring other options further down the road.’ So we’re not ruling out doing other things, but we felt like one [console] was the right place to start for u

A lot of new Guild Wars 3 information has been released today which has really grabbed my attention as someone who has dabbled in the franchise. It sounds amazing so far and really fresh and new for the MMORPG genre.

And then I saw it: coming to PC and Playstation.

Some people have commented that the next gen Xbox will play PC games but that feels like absolute cope to me. Why would they exclude Xbox from their marketing strategy as they’re trying to build hype? Unless Xbox announces this will be the case soon, I think it’s fair to say it’s not happening.

This generation has been nothing but a massive disappointment.
