Essentially I’m wanting to just start tinkering/breaking things as I feel like that’s a good way to learn. Everything from installing distros such as Ubuntu and eventually things like Arch, running VMs, web servers, torrenting etc.

I plan to do this on a couple of old thinkpads, raspberry pis etc

I was wondering if there’s any big fundamental rules for how to do all of this as safely as possible, and any good resources.

For instance, my broadband provider allows the creation of a guest network which I plan to use for this purpose.

I essentially want to know how to segregate all of the things I plan to do, so that my personal devices and the like are safe from any threats I could encou

  1. From a security point of view, are there any issues with having FaceID and Autofill enabled on iOS devices for Proton Pass? Are Apple able to access any of your passwords or is it all still end to end encrypted?

  2. If I have my 2FA token for my proton account stored on proton pass, is that the most secure so long as I have my recovery codes? This means that my account is inaccessible outside of me surely, with me just needing to use a recovery code if I lose my current device with access?

Hi there, I’m trying to go back to the bar area from the Wild Territory following Lab X-16 but whenever I reach that particular transition screen, the game crashes during the loading sequence, with the message ‘optimising’ being displayed on the loading bar.

I’m really disappointed because I’ve been loving the game up to now but the bug is game breaking.

Other area transitions work fine, I’ve tried reloading previous saves, deleting saves etc. all make me crash here

Is there anything I can do to remedy this? I can play the game on PC and would transition to that if there’s a way I could mod my progress up to the same point so I don’t need to do all of the game up to this point again.

Quick question regarding a potential spoiler

SpoilerNine Sols Lore (Mark this post as a spoiler)

Hi there, I was trying to find the name of the species which Yi is, and I ended up reading that Yi’s species was effected by a virus (Tiunhao I think it was) and so the eternal cauldron project was to build an artificial reality.

This is all I know regarding the wider games themes/spoiler territory

I’ve just achieved the charged blade ability so I’m new to the game, is this a big spoiler/will it impact my enjoyment?

i5 4430 options

Build Help

I’m meant to be buying a gaming setup on Wednesday with a 1660ti GPU, 16gb ram and a triple monitor setup with peripherals for $550. I thought this was a good deal until I asked and found out the CPU was a i5-4430. I’ve never had a gaming PC and was wondering what I’d be wise to do from here because from my reading it’s a garbage tier CPU
