Heading to Tupper Lake this weekend with some friends and looking for some good MTB trail recommendations. Looks like heading to the Lake Placid area might be our best bet. Craig Woods looks cool, but would love some more rugged double black tech trails. Is Whiteface open to the public? Thanks!

There is currently a regular (non fire rated) door with a window between the spaces, but I need to install a fire rated door. The house is a lincoln log style home with 6" D profile logs. The garage side of the shared walls was insulated with 2x4 framing and covered with type x drywall. This leaves a massive door jamb at ~10.5". What's the best way to solve this problem? Located in NH.

  • Try to get a custom fire rated door made?
  • Cut back the sheetrock and insulation on the garage side and "Step down" the wall to fit a nominal 6 9/16 jamb?

So my plan is to start a sole proprietor LLC as a machine shop and also start a "brand" of mountain bikes/components. I would like to "brand" the parts I make, but would like to avoid creating a second business as residential zoning only permits one business per household. How should I approach this? I'm assuming it would be best for me to start a line of products with the brand name, but was unsure of any downsides of doing it this way. Company would be based out of NH. Thoughts?

I'm posting to get a feel for where my company's health insurance plan stands compared to everyone else's. Basically just a check to see if I'm getting screwed or if our plan is in an average ballpark.

I am a 34 y/o mechanical engineer at a ~10 person company within the aerospace industry in the greater Boston area. Our company is currently re-evaluating our health plan and I'm wondering if we could do better.

So I have a Rostock Max V2 printer that I haven't used in a while and am looking to sell. I have no idea how much I should list it for and hoping y'all can provide some insight.

The printer has been upgraded with an e3dv6 hotend, an e3d titan extruder, capricorn ptfe bowden tubing, PEI coated Al bed plate, borosilicate with one side garolite bed plate.

I realize printers have changed quite a bit since this printer came out and deltas are not as popular as they once were. Is it even worth listing at this point? thanks for your help.

I'm going to be driving out across I-80W coming in from 84N soon (route link listed below) and am looking for a place to get a good ride in along the way. I'm having difficulty sorting out what trails might be good from looking them up on trailforks. Ideally I'm looking for some fun trails on unique terrain. Fast, flowy, chunky or full of features are definitely a bonus. Thanks!

I'm considering swapping out the wheelset on my bike and need help determining what is possible with my setup. The issue is that specialized decided to go with a 142+ size hub and I'm not sure what, if any, hub sizes will be compatible with my setup. I would love to go with some i9's or chris kings to get some more engagement but i don't know if that will be possible.

As the title states I am having trouble determining the best method to 'close out' the top of a lofted surface. The current part I am working with is a surfboard fin created by lofting a series of NACA profiles. I am currently using Fusion 360 to make this part but am also fluent in solidworks. This is an issue I have come across a few times now with different parts and decided to reach out for help. Is there a common solution to this problem or a best practice I could follow? Thanks.

here's a link to some screenshots of my part

I should start by saying I don't have the strongest programming background. My project involves a rotating wheel with an attached encoder. The goal is to trigger an event when the wheel reaches a certain angle.

Currently I have this set up with a simple if statement stating if (the wheel == angle) {trigger event}. I am hoping to find a more robust solution to this issue. Some potential sources of error could be, if the wheel stops at the exact angle and continuously triggers the event. Another issue could be if the encoder skips over 30 and misses the trigger.

I understand that I could patch these issues individually, but was wondering if there was a standard way of performing such a task
