Hi, so I started Ritalin extended release at 5mg at a 7 day trial to test if I tolerated it. I do have a lot of past medication trauma and was afraid to treat my ADHD. The 7 doses went well, I felt more focused and alert, I was able to listen more, my anxiety was lowered, and I was catching details i’d overlook.

I missed one dose as it was the day I was going back to my psychiatrist to discuss how it went. I told her all is well so we filled 30 days. That afternoon I started to crash, that was on Friday. I have taken it Saturday, Sunday and today. I am still laggy burned out, and my brain feels slower and foggy and feel exhausted. So I know now ADHD meds work but I am wondering now if mayb

I am now just getting a Dx of this. I didn’t even think about it until my therapist and psychiatrist separately came to these issues are your cycle so let’s watch it. This month has confirmed it. It has been getting worse and worse and I am in the early stages of discussing treatment. I am fighting so hard to stay awake. I am already on 10mg of Viibryd so idk what treatment is going to be suggested. I see the gyno next week as well as my psychiatrist. If anyone has any tips for feeling like you’re on a bunch of Benadryls I am all ears lol.

I know it's an ASD challenge, but wanted to get insight & support from others on this. For me, I find it frustrating that I know what I am trying to say or if I am explaining something technical I know it in my head, but language and speaking are hard. I also have cptsd, so I assume that could impact things on bad days with that. I have always found typing the easiest way to communicate. I feel this impacts me most at work, but also just talking to people in general. I am 30 and was Dx'd at 7, due to not having a good childhood, I suppressed autism well into my late 20's until my therapist eased us into focusing on autism. She knew about my childhood Dx, I told her I wasn't sure I am autisti

I am autistic and have had these for 6 weeks now. I still have to take them out for work meetings, therapy, social events and dates. I am wondering if speech is going to be an issue this whole time. I can’t think when I talk with them in because all I am thinking about is the movement of my tongue and mouth and having such a hard time speaking with them in and then thinking about how I am being perceived because it sounds horrible and Al’s thinking how uncomfortable it is to talk. It also feels like it takes so much energy to talk. Anyone else?

Two months ago or so I journaled when I was crying on the floor with some suicidal ideation. I wrote a lot but some of it said this is all my fault that everyone leaves, I don’t know what it is but there is something wrong with me, it’s why everyone leaves and talked about how in that trigger I didn’t want to be here anymore.

My therapist cried when she read what I wrote and said she wants me to see myself how she sees me. She told me to read it again and said that is your mom’s voice in your head. You are kind, smart, funny, empathic, honest, and loyal. It was healing in terms of okay, she’s crying it must mean what I think could be false, but it’s a deep core feeling that won’t go away.
