Info: normal range of Ferritin differs from one lab to another. But after years of patients’ symptom complaints finally the minimum is starting to taken as 50.

Some years ago my mom got diagnosed with severe anemia. Her ferritin was super low, and hemoglobin was down to 7,8 which is also very low. Back then I was telling about this to an elderly neighbor and she said “yes she does look very pale. You do too, I think you have it too.” I told her mine was normal and the paleness was just because I was a redhead. My Ferritin was 30, doctor didn’t say anything… so I thought I was fine.

WRONG!

When I asked some questions about my mom on r/anemia the kind ladies there told me my 30 was also

Hello everyone. So, even iron bisgylicinate causes constipation for me. I know it just happens to some people with iron supplements but I need to find a cure.

The problem is all suggestions I see so far is NOT IBS-friendly so I thought I would ask you guys if you tried anything that worked for 💩 but not caused excess gas.

Merhaba.

Virtual hug to fellow anxiety balls

Need to Vent - No advice please

I’ve been lying in bed in a ball position for the last hour, unable to sleep because PMDD insomnia. And I’m FULL of anxiety. They say body is about 75% water, I think mine is 75% anxiety. In additon to PMDD, I also have anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, dental phobia, and my jaw aching because of my dead tooth makes me get crazy level anxious.

I already have enough anxiety at least my hormones could give me a break but nooooo 😵‍💫

Who else has severe anxiety during PMDD? How does yours manifest itself?

Hello everyone,

I’m using a local brand’s supplement. Per capsule it has…

Magnesium (Bisglycinate + Sitrat): 95 mg bisglycinate + 45 mg sitrat. 140 mg magnesium in total

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine): 5 mg

I don’t know if this issue is about side ingredients but, every time I take it I actually wake up tired which usually doesn’t happen on a normal day. Why could that be?

I take magnesium mostly for anxiety, then for general health.

Sorry if this is commonly asked.

Like many people here, I work on a computer for hours, I sleep in a hunchback position too. At minimum, I exercise about 10 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes at night. But it doesn't feel like that would fix hours-long on going damage? Or does it?

I have both anterior pelvic tilt and forward head posture.

She's 26, in a happy marriage, otherwise healthy. She's been to therapy about this before but it didn't fix it. She can't see a psychiatrist but she can and will see her GP soon. In our country essitalopram group SSRIs are sold even without a prescription (unfortunately?) but I'm worried if her GP can choose the right medicine.

Her health anxiety is mostly about germs. I would not call it extreme, more like moderate, but it gets obsession level sometimes. Like some people saw rats in the parking lot of her building, and someone on the 7th floor heard noises in the walls. Her building is only 5 years old, it's a concrete building, and she lives on the 5th floor. It is extremely unlikely for

My brother is 49, a redhead if it’s genetically important. He occasionally drinks and been a smoker of cigarettes for +29 years now. Healthy weight, he has a very physically active life.

He has always had some mild bowel movement issues. About 7-9 years ago he got something removed. I asked if it was a polyp but he said it was not. And doctor said “it might repeat in 10 years” and ask him to get a colonoscopy 10 years later.

He said he has “similar symptoms” again but he doesn’t list them. I do know he gets bloating and too many bowel movements sometimes.

I’m 41F, and I have IBS. Our late paternal grandmother was said to diagnosed with Crohn’s in the ‘90s but I don’t remember her having

I don't know how else I can word it! I have anxiety disorder and agoraphobia. A big part of it is that I feel unsafe in the world, and it's because I lack familial support and I am on my own financially. Like, I will not inherit anything in the future either and I work freelance so my future is very unknown.

I know there are many people like me in the world but around me, there is none. I could use some memoirs, essays, or self-help books for guidance. :-)

Hello everyone,

I'm thinking about getting an Apple Watch for my 75 y/o mother as a birthday gift this year. Purely for its health features. She used to use FitBit Inspire HR and its best part was it was slim, so it didn't bother her. Apple Watch's size is a downside.

Anyway, a friend of mine has Apple Watch Series 11 and she said it does not notify when her blood pressure goes up and that "Hypertension Alert" feature is not reliable. Is that true? Because if it is, then it's kind of pointless to get that?

My mom does not use anything other than normal time and health purposes. Connection to phone etc is not needed.

Thank you for reading.

Without going into details, my mom became a widow 24 years ago and was left with no money and no house. She has four younger siblings and all these years not only they didn't help, they even took the little things their parents left. They all support each other financially, emotionally, and physically but barely even call my mom. And of course this also means everything was left on my shoulders.

Once every few years they show up at my door, usually just to not pay for a hotel and I just don't know how to respond to them. Especially considering my mom lives with me and if I told them to f off, that would also mean she couldn't see them and she's already all alone except for me.

What do you

I'm 40. I'm not exactly sure if I'm perimenopausal because my period is still regular but I must be, in both sides of my family women go into menopause between 40-45 years old.

I have had anxiety disorder and agoraphobia that get better and worse at different times for +20 years now. I used SSRI for 6 months 20 years ago. For the last 3 years or so though, my anxiety, especially the agoraphobia part has been more difficult to manage. I'm lost if it's just because of life, or PMDD which I also suspect I have, or perimenopause.

I will see a psychiatrist soon. Of course they will just prescribe Cipralex or alike. I'm not against SSRI but I wonder if it's the wrong treatment approach and if I

Hi all. I'm not on anti depressants but after three failed attempts I have to accept I cannot make it to the dentist without some help. I have a pretty bad case of agoraphobia but my dentist phobia is even worse and I need to go and get an impacted wisdom tooth removed with only local anesthesia. That's the most intense level anxiety for me.

It would help to learn so I can look it up. I have some medicine anxiety too and usually doctors prescribe something stronger than I need. That's one of the things I'm worried about. (I will try at home first of course.)

I have never used benzos or similar. I'm not on SSRIs, no drugs, no alcohol, no weed or anything. I will a taxi to the clinic, I ha
