Greetings.

I've been building a browser based multiplayer grand strategy game Steholas for the past 3 months and now the game is officially in early alpha and I'm spreading it to a wider audience. The game itself is available here: https://stoat.hanno.ee/

A friend and I have already played 1 round(took 2 weeks and the game received significant improvements) and now we are looking for more players who might be interested in these games and don't mind taking part in the alpha stage of a completely new game. At this stage, all feedback is important to steer the development, especially from players who decide to stick around and play a bit longer.

I got a save game that worked 3 hours ago, but the game now shows that it's from a different version. However I don't see that steam has done any updates. The game is being played in vanilla with no mods attached to this playset. Has anyone else experienced anything similar and what did you do to fix it? I have saved and loaded this game countless times so far without any problems.

I can load any other saves preceding this one.

I got about 30 hours in this particular save and things are going really wild now, which is why I'd really like to uncorrupt that save.

It is widely known that munnin and huginn are Odin's 2 ravens in norse mythology, but I giggle a little every time I hear the word "munnin", because in Estonian(my native language) the word "munn" means a dick in a vulgar way. However "munnin" is longer and assembled in a slightly different way giving it palatalization on the 2 nn-s, making it softer and warmer. The sound is similar to "mellon" from LOTR, which means a friend. However if I would say this in a more Finnish way, then the palatalization is removed from the 2 nn-s making it harder, but removing the warmth. The length seems to remain the same though. Whether you take the time rolling it over your tongue or go over it faster both

TL;DR I have 3 possible thesis subjects: Developing a methodology for rewriting applications where around 50% of the code ends up on the gpu. Making a table of things to study about CUDA and in which order and how much when you have to take part in a commercial project. Comparing CUDA and Tensorflow in a non machine learning task. The first feels a weak subject, second a little stronger, the last one solid. But what do you think?

Due to the fact that my supervisor is currently unavailable and will be such for some time, I thought I'd ask feedback from a wider audience.

I have currently thought of 3 possible subjects for my master's thesis, from which 2 feel a bit weak and o

I currently have 2 saves: one with continental dawn(regular) and 1 with northlands(hardcore). The settlements are similar in buildup, but in the continental dawn people stay inside the walls as they should and in northlands they run outside and I don't know why. There are no buildings outside the walls. Except for hay stacks and mines in both saves and continental dawn has stone circle outside.

The only major difference that I can think of from the perspective of a programmer is that the settlement in northlands is not where it started from. I moved it quite a way to a more suitable location for a metropolis.

However if I could see what the defence AI is thinking then that would be a lot

My ship got blown out of the sky after I fired a rocket salvo far far away into some terrain and my ship took the damage. I also noticed that I take damage when mining asteroids with my blasters.

I have not received this effect when I host a game, but I do get this when joining someone else's game.
