In order to interpret a book in an ancient language, the players find a small packet of workplace safety signs that are bilingual. They contain phrases in both Fiendish and in the unknown language. I was thinking workplace safety signs, but shifted into the fantasy world.

It would be especially amusing if they were racist, because some of my players' characters have a race.

Here's what I've got so far:

"Beware of Fire-Breathing Dragons"

"Secret Doorway Ahead - No Orcs Allowed”

“You Must be Taller than a Gnome to Ride this Ride”

"Portal Maintenance in Progress – Only Elves Allowed"

“Unsupervised Gnomes will be Sold as Slaves” Nvm, I've been made aware that slavery is wrong

Homebrew Resting Rule in Barovia

REQUEST FOR HELP / FEEDBACK

I'm planning to run Curse of Strahd, but couldn't decide on which resting rules would fit the best. The default rules always felt off to me, because regaining everything in one night just seems incorrect (doubly so in a roleplay-heavy campaign). The DMG includes optional rules, but they didn't feel right either. Gritty Realism doesn't really fit, because many locations will devour player's resources, the PCs don't have a lot of options for their downtime. and any time limits weren't really designed around longer rest times. The Slower Natural Healing seems much closer to what I want, but I also wanted a similar mechanic for spell slots.

After thinking about it, I came up with this system

I am planning on running a game for some of my friends over the summer, but I am intentionally misleading them on the theme/plot of the campaign. Should I be more honest about the true campaign or should I lie for a cool reveal later?

The campaign begins in my homebrew version of Strixhaven because I want to use the magic-school aesthetic without allowing Silvery Barbs. The metropolis city is full of humans, elves, and dwarves, while other species live in the slums (and if this seems like it'll be insensitive to real-world issues, don't worry because I'm not going to address that at all).

The party will be different monstrous races in an 8th grade class that attend an underfunded school i

Some things I would love to see in OneDnD

hAvE yOu TrIeD pAtHfInDeR 2e
  • More interesting combat options for martials other than just attacking. Battlemasters but for all martials basically, except with no extra dice

  • No opportunities attacks, unless they have like one level in Fighter I guess

  • More feats! People should be picking feats at every level, but split up by category, such as (idk just making up names) "Ancestry Feats," "Class Feats," "General Feats," and "Skill Feats"

  • Extra bad/good effects from failing or winning a DC by 10 or more, which could be the new basis for "Critical Success" and "Critical Failure"

  • Options to retrain things you've picked in your downtime, so there's less stress on picking the right options the first time. On se

My friend is starting a campaign soon and I'm having trouble deciding what to do at level 4. I'd like to take a feat without sacrificing my ability scores, so I'm only looking at half-feats that boost Dex, Con, or Wis. Unfortunately, that means I need to plan my decision in advance, to have an odd ability score where I need it. Here's what I have so far:

Class: Mercy Monk. I don't know much about the rest of the party, so I like being able to swap between support and damage. The bonus proficiencies are nice too, so I can roll more dice outside of combat.

Race: The new MotM Kobold. Kobolds are my favorite fantasy race, and I haven't been able to play one in 5e yet. I also really li

  1. Their fastest attack out of shield, at least from what I've checked, is up-smash, at 9 frames. It's also a good KO move, conveniently.

  2. They can go across the bottom of Final Destination (and presumably other stages), but it requires using a single Wonderwing charge (side-B) and is fairly tricky.

  3. Forward Aerial does not seem to spike, very sadly.

  4. Down-throw buries, which is cool
