I got an email saying someone deposited $20 in my Venmo account. I called the 1 800 number but got nowhere but basically got a message to chat thru app. I do have the app but never signed up and don't want to so there is no way of chatting with them. I guess I will just forget about it unless anyone has suggestions.

Weeks five and six after TKR
Week five was better than week six but the beginning of week 7 is looking up.
Pain at night and sleeping issues continue but improved. In week 5, I started taking a muscle relaxer at bedtime and that seemed to help with the spasms and give me at least 5 hours of sleep. By the end of the 6^(th) week, I no longer consistently needed them and went without the last 2 nights. Nerve pain is still a problem but reducing.
Swelling. My leg still swells and swelling was worse in week 6 than week 5. My knee hurt worse in week 6 as well so I took a couple of easy days with fewer exercises and strain and it improved in pain and maybe a little in swelling.

Weeks three and four after TKR
Pain during the day.
I stopped taking Tylenol for pain in week 3. With pain at about a level 2-3, I felt I didn’t need it during the day and it didn’t work with night pain.
Pain at night and sleeping issues began in week 2 and continues. I had read complaints about night pain but until I experienced it, it was a mystery. My night pain can be broken down into the following 3 types:
1) nerve pain. Most of the time (even when awake) I can’t stand anything brushing my knee and sometimes I get a wave of intense shooting nerve pain. For the former, I make a tent with a pillow under the sheets to protect the knee. This pain is definitely decreas
We all differ in physical characteristics, health, fitness and other ways before we start this journey. Also, we receive very different surgeries and pain treatments. This makes it hard for us to compare our experiences. I thought I would specify my characteristics in case someone thinks they may be comparable to me.
Status before surgery: 75 female, fairly active, BMI 26, medial bone on bone arthritis with bad knee cap. (Before surgery, I could uncomfortably walk 4 miles but pay for it afterward. Previously tried injections and PT. Prepared for surgery using weight training machines at gym for >2 mths (highly recommend). No nerve block/treatment before surgery
Surgery: Monday 8/1
I use chrome and occasionally want to shorten an url to share. What's the best way of doing this?
My Mom is 100 and is bedridden. She has dementia of unknown origin. She is in no pain, enjoys her food (thickened liquids and purees), and her vital signs are almost always good. She has always been sweet and is easy to manage. For the most part she doesn't talk but occasionally says something that makes you think she is still in there and she is bored. Her pacemaker battery is running out. She may not survive the procedure but she is dependent on her pacemaker and can not live without it. I am her medical proxy. The way I see it is that I can give her a fighting chance or condemn her to die. I would love to have her input but I think the dementia prohibits a conversation. If your p
We use Hormel's Thick and Easy liquids at honey consistency for Mom's drinks. However, it is expensive and contains way too much sugar. We use simply thick in a jug with a pump but it is expensive too. Both have been lifesavers but it is time to look for something less expensive. Are inexpensive ways to thicken her drinks? Any recipes? (BTW I puree her food.)
I am unsuccessful in propping up my Mom in bed when she is in about sitting position. I use pillows on the sides but she invariably leans forward past the pillows on over to one side. Any hints on how to keep her upright?
First time I used BT only right HA would work and the sound wasn't loud enough even with sound of HA all the way up. Second time I used BT only left HA would work. Now only right HA works and left remains disconnected. Tried unpairing, turning HA off and on, etc. Any ideas? I have Philips HearLink 9030 miniRITE
I have mild hearing loss. I had my hearing tested at costco over a year ago and was told I was on the "cusp" of needing aids. It was suggested if I didn't get them then, I should come back in a year. I waited a little longer than that hoping to hear about the next KS but apparently that won't happen so I made an appointment at Costco for this week. I plan on asking about concerns over hair noise (long hair), glasses, and very waxy ears. What other questions should I ask and are certain aids better with waxy ears than others?
Buffalo, earthpix, 1000 pieces, "Away from it all in the Canadian Rockies". Pictured is Emerald Lake, Emerald Lake Resort and Mount Burgess located in the Yoho National Park. I loved visiting here this summer when I toured the Canadian Rockies. It was a bucket list vacation.
reddit.com/gallery/z77eijI'm thinking I might buy a lazy susan to use with a puzzle board/foam board/bulletin board etc. rather than invest in a puzzle board that has a lazy susan built in. Has anyone done this? What are pitfalls?
