So I'm writing a story and it has the First and Tenth in it. Any suggestions for what to call them to keep it from getting confusing? Better yet, has anyone out there read a story like that before who can tell me how it was handled?

I'm writing a story for the Big Finish contest and it requires the first doctor be included, but I don't feel he's a very sympathetic/interesting character so I've also included the 10th doctor. Now... for those of you who have read stories which include multiple doctors in the same setting, how is it handled? In the synopsis I'm referring to them as 10th and 1st, but that doesn't scan very well in a story setting and I can't very well call both of them, "The Doctor".

Anyone encountered this before and how was it handled?

(I know it happens on the show a lot, but there's no confusion there because you can SEE which doctor is which)

I've had my Comgrow T500 for a few years now and it's been pretty solid aside from a few minor firmware glitches, but a while back it just shut down mid print.

Now the machine turns on, everything works correctly right up until I start to pre-heat the print bed, then there's a little electrical >pop< and the machine shuts down.

I am semi-competent when it comes to repairing electronics. I removed the leads to the print bed and checked the resistance, about 1 ohm, which correlates pretty accurately with the 24v 600w heating element, so I'm pretty sure the element itself is okay.

I've visually checked both the hot bed drive module, the power supply, and the wires leading between all of the

I'm not sure how useful some of them would be for combat robotics but the first one is a printable version of the thermal protective tape used at NHRL against flamethrowers so there's at least ONE use case for them. Too bad it takes a very specialized printer to run (220 c build plate and 445 c nozzle temp) because it seems really strong and heat resistant.

So, recently I met an autistic woman through a regular dating app who I clicked really well with. In the end she decided I wasn't quite to her taste (she's NB and still figuring it out and apparently I'm too masculine for her, but we're still good friends).

I know I'm at the edge of the spectrum (and have ADHD) and it was partly her autistic traits that made her really compatible for me so now I wonder how to find more people like that. She suggested a few neurodivergent dating sites, but they only seem to have 10-12 people in my general area and around the right age and most seem like abandoned accounts. (Hiki seems like the best so far, but although they boast 200,000 users, it seems like

Posted this in response to someone else but I figured I'd share more broadly.

Something I've found works to give me a few good hours every day is intermittent fasting with protein. Over time the process evolved, so here's what I do right now.

Wake up at a set time every morning. Have my usual coffee, pills etc. but nothing to eat. Around noon-early afternoon I take a protein shake (I've tried with protein bars but they seem to have too many non-protein calories and it doesn't work as well). Around 1-4 in the afternoon when the hunger pangs really hit I have several good clarity. I haven't tried anything physical, but mentally I feel I'm on top of things and operate at close to what I shoul

I looked all over the internet but can't find a solution. In previous versions of blender, when you hit 'g' to move an object, it moved proportionally to the movement of the mouse. In more recent versions it seems to assume I want the object's origin to snap to the cursor and move from there. I NEVER want that.

I can sort of do what I'm trying to do by hitting control as I move the object, but then it no longer snaps to target. I would really like that to be on by default rather than holding down a button every time I want to move an object AND have it snap to target if the magnet is active. I find this incredibly aggravating sometimes when I'm trying to move a large object by small increme

I'm part of a Complex Chronic Disease clinic that does regular seminars on a variety of subjects. Last week we had a doctor talking to us about nutritional supplements and such. One of the things he recommended was grounding.

He had some explanation about how trees can grow so big because they're directly grounded all the time and have a ready supply of ions. He suggested we get grounding mats and spend several hours a day in contact with them so we get enough ions.

He said he's fully aware it sounds like quackery, but he swears by the science.

I think it smells like BS so I looked for studies. The only study I could find linking ions to fatigue was a paper on metal fatigue.... so... not

Just curious, with the proliferation of flamethrowers at NHRL, has there ever been a flame on flame match? I can't think of one, but I doubt I've seen every fight available to watch.

In any case it has to happen eventually and I'm looking forward to seeing that match!

Someone posted here a few weeks back about how their fatigue went from severe to mild over a few months because they were journaling. Makes sense to me that it would work for some people and I wanted to give it a try (can't hurt, right?) but the post seems to have disappeared along with the details (some doctor's name who swears by it) that helped me find a website with helpful tips for journaling.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about I'd appreciate either the doctor's name or a link to that website.
