I'm using the following SumProduct formula in P55 through P65 on a summary sheet. This is the formula for P55, but it changes accordingly as you work down to P65. There is a lot going on here, but basically D55:L55 are input cells that are used to match up with D61:D75 on the '11 - Chart - Investments. It basically allows me to combine multiple individual line items into summary line items by picking which items I want included.

=IF(And($D55="",$F55="",$H55="",$J55="",$L55),"",SUMPRODUCT(IFerror(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("," & '11 - Chart - Investments'!$D$61:$D$75  & ",","," & $D55&","&$F55&","&$H55&","&$J55&","&$L55 & ","))*'11 - Chart - Investm

Is there any way the Cavs could get into a potential Knick and Pelicans trade for the Anthony Davis allowing the Cavs to swap 5 for 3?

The Cavs would be able to provide the Knicks and/or Pelicans with salary relief and could offer up future protected picks.

Basically, if the Pelicans are willing to take the 3rd pick, Knox, Robinson, and DSJ for Anthony Davis, would they be willing to instead do the 5th pick, Knox, Robinson, DSJ and salary relief/26th pick?

If the Knicks want AD, I don't see any reason they don't do this if offered. They get salary relief making signing 2 max FAs and adding AD easier and in this scecario they aren't drafting anyone w/ 3 anyways. I guess they could see it

This might be a convoluted way of doing this so if you have a better idea please let me know, but right now I have 3 tables. A source table, a selector table, and a consolidated table.

My source table is Source!A2:H22. A2:A22 are my categories. B2:H22 are the data for those categories in each year (Column B is year 1, Column C is year 2, etc). For the sake of this example, let's say these categories are just people's names. So A2 is Brian, A3, is Jessica, A4 is Mike, A5 is Linda, A6 is Tom, A7 is Gary, A8 is Jane, etc.

My selector table is Selector!A2:F22. Cells A2:A22 are empty input cells. The user inputs whatever "new" category he chooses. B2:F22 are data validation cells that pull fr

Background Info

I created a Google Sheets workbook that has a lot of index(matches, vlookups, and import formulas that import HTML and XML data from outside sources.

As I was working through the book and creating each sheet, I had no issues with lag or loading because each formula was created one at a time, but now that it is finished (for now), when I open it up as a fresh template, every single formula is trying to run at once which is causing those import HTML and import XML formulas to sit and load for hours. The user inputs for lookup keys haven't even been entered yet when opening fresh so they are all working at once to try to lookup something that can't even be completed and w

I'm trying to use ImportXML to pull data from Pro Publica's Non-Profit Explorer. I've watched as many tutorials on YouTube for XML w/ Google Sheets but I still can't figure it out. I've been at it for hours and I just read that Google Sheets has some XML limitations so I wanted to check to see if someone w/ experience could try pulling the data with ImportXML and let me know if it's working for them.

Here is an example 990 in both webpage and XML code version

I have no background in programming so please bear with me.

For my job, I have to sort through a lot of form 990s. I found the ProPublica Non-Profit Explorer API page here and tried to read through the instructions, but because I have no baseline understanding. I don't even know where to begin. It seems as if I understood how to use the API, I could tell it I want X piece/s of information from 3 specific org's 990s, and it could give me the results. If that is the case, it would be extremely helpful.

I tried doing Google Sheets JSON tutorials on Youtube to try to learn how to use the API, and I understand what was happening in the videos

I want to create a graph that will chart points on a single vertical axis. Here is an example I found of what I am looking to make.

So as you can see, I want to be able to have a single vertical line with individual markers along the line. Each marker would represent one of the data points.

I tried making this in Google Sheets but I cannot figure out how to have it intercept the line. Google Sheets is either putting the markers between two grid lines or off to the left of a single gridline.

Does anyone know how to make this chart in Google Sheets? If not, what about Excel?

Below is the script. I don't want a toggle "Hide/Unhide" button, I want one button to Hide (which I have), and one that will unhide all the rows in the same range.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

 function H5S() {
  var ss = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet();
  var sheet = ss.getSheetByName("5S");
  var currentRange = ss.getRangeByName("A7:A100");
  var rangeStart = currentRange.getRow();
  var values = currentRange.getValues();

  var index = 0, rows = 1;
  var show = !(values[0][12] == "" );

  for (var i = 1, length = values.length; i < length; i++) {
    if (values[i][0] == 0 ) {
      if (show) {
        sheet.showRows(range

One of C3, D3, E3, or F3 will contain the lookup value while the other 3 will be empty.

The current formula is in cell G3, cell H2 is also used a a lookup key, but that is not an issue.

Here is the formula:

=Index(S10:X100),Match(C3,S10:S100),0),Match(H2, S10:X10"),0))

The issue is that the above formula only works if the lookup is in C3. The lookup could just as likely be in D3, E3, or F3. The sloppy workaround for this would be to put in a helper column in B3 to identify which lookup cell is occupied and then making my formula in G3

=IF(B3=1,Index(S10:X100"),Match(C3,S10:S100),0),Match(H2, S10:X10"),0)),IF(B3=2,=Index(S10:X100"),Match(D3,S10:S100),0),Match(H2, S10:X10"),

So what I need to be able to do is have 2 data validations with the 2nd validation changing depending on what you pick in validation #1. I can do this in excel using the process explained below. Unfortunately, the validations don't work the same way in Google Sheets. Based on how I'm doing this in excel, does anyone have a workaround to make this work in sheets or a different way of doing this than using =Indirect that I could try in Google Sheets?

#Excel Process In an excel workbook I had two columns of data validation. The first data validation is in cell A2. The validation is a List and the source is a named ranged (DeptCat). DeptCat are categories in text form in cells A1:E1 on a diffe

My company recently switched over to Google Sheets (& Slides) for all non-analysis intensive & collaborative work. For the most part it has been an easy transition, but one thing that has been difficult is using the Google Sheets charts.

The google sheets charts are just way less customizable and harder to manipulate compared to Excel. I tried searching for an Add-on for Sheets that allowed users to make better charts, but I can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know if there is a good add-on for this?

On top of that, if you have any general "must have" add-on for Google Sheets, please feel free to suggest them. I'm pretty new to it as a tool and the add-on store seems pretty

Specs/Details: ASUS Gaming A80CJ-DS51 VivoPC X, Oculus-Ready Console PC, GeForce GTX 1060, Core i5, 8GB, 1TB HDD, VR-ready with 4 x USB 3.1 ports, Windows 10

It's a pre-built Oculus Ready PC he got last Christmas. Surprisingly, it can actually run Oculus games well enough to play, but trying to do anything else on the PC is impossible.

I'm trying to help him out with it but I'm not a PC person. We've tried different things suggested on Google for the hard disk issue but none of them worked.

There isn't even much on the PC itself. Just Oculus, a few Oculus games, and Chrome. Everything downloaded has been from the Oculus store.

Should I just try to re-install Windows? I really don'

I have a sheet with over 50 columns & 24 rows of data. Most of the columns are months but every quarter or so I add a column for "spent through XX/XX/XXXX".

Now most of the months have past & these columns can be hidden, but I do still need to display 13 columns for 2019, a 2020 column, a total budget column, and my "spent thru" column. So 18 columns overall.

Now this probably sounds like a dumb question, but I can't figure out how to make this thing easy to read visually. I've tried whiting it all out and only having borders for the total number at the bottom of each column. I've tried adding borders throughout the entire budget. I've tried alternating colors. None of it looks r

I’m on day 10 of a juice fast and even though I don’t want to end it, I need to start transitioning back to food so that If I’m in a situation where I have to eat, it won’t really mess up my stomach because of my dormant digestive system suddenly having solid foods thrown into it.

So instead of ending it all together, I’d like to just adjust my food intake from 0% to the minimum percentage of food I can eat before my digestion system will start shutting down as if I was fasting.

Could my daily intake still be 80% juice and 20% food without my digestive system being put in a position where eating a steak could severely fuck up my stomach? What would that threshold be? I just want to max
