I know they still get absolute madness going at hardcore-specific fests, but looking at clips from broader headlining runs like the Hive Mind tour, it feels like a lot of the crowd is turning into a massive traditional push-pit/circle-pit zone. I feel like I'm seeing way fewer clips of actual hardcore dancing/two-stepping/crowd-killing zones compared to a few years ago.

Are actual hardcore moshed-out pits still happening deep in the crowd at their current headline shows, or has the mainstream crossover mostly washed that out for a standard push pit?

I’m talking about their first album “between the buried and me” not their newer stuff.

I just want something that sounds good for any kind of death metal. Budget is around $500 or less. Any recommendations.

My mains right now are Gambit and Angela, but I can flex when needed. I rarely run Iron Man and only swap him in if the team needs more DPS.

What genre is most common in your local hardcore scene?

In my area, it’s easily death metal. A lot of slam and BDM bands play hardcore shows here, so the scenes overlap heavily.

For mine, it’s death metal. Slam and brutal death metal bands are constantly playing hardcore shows, so everything blends together
