So all the DLCs are currently at a massive discount (for PS). But I definitely recommend getting the Ireland DLC, is certainly feels like there's improvements in it, and plays like a "smoother" version of the original game. It's basically what all the players that complained about Valhalla's bloat really wanted. Straight to the chase but still really cool, dark magic, great-looking map, decent storyline and more stuff but I don't want to give any spoiler. A lot of people have also said this really is the best DLC out of the 3.
I got it for like $6 lol. Defs worth it at that point.
After 100 hours here's my ranking for the game:
Combat: 10/10
Stealth: 6/10
Parkour: 6/10
Story: 8.5/10
Open world: 10/10
Scenery: 10/10
Enemies: 9/10
Boss fights: 8.5/10
Music: 10/10
Sound effects: 10/10
Gear and weapons: 10/10
Side missions/world events: 9/10
Minigames (Orlog, Niflheim, Beer drinking, Mastery quests): 9/10
Eivor protagonist: 10/10
Voiceovers: 10/10
Asgaard quests: 9/10
That is my honest assessment of the game after having played endless of other games. Truly an underrated game with some flaws of course:
- It's buggy
- Long story
- Some areas can feel repetitive (river raids, the order
Okay, I'm about 12+ hours in, and I have to say this game gets way too much hate for what it is. I see lots of improvements from Odyssey, raids with your clan are way more fun than the dreadful, endless ship battles in Odyssey, stealth is slightly better though still flawed, combat feels more impactful and more difficult due to stamina addition, confirm kills are badass, most of the music is great, way more fun add-ons, customization, no exaggerated drop loot everywhere, characters are certainly cooler than Odyssey and lots of other ACs, so are the protagonists, great to have a camp to build up, and on and on. Beautiful scenery and somehow barely people mention it?
Only real criticism I can
In Windows, [Program Data] - [Dell] - [SA Remediation] - [System Repair] - [Snapshots] is taking about 21GB which is a fair amount for my SSD. With barely anything downloaded, most of my storage is taken by the system functions and windows features.
I also know that you apparently can't delete it, but you can disable it entirely on the Dell Support Assist App. My question is, do I really need some enabled? I guess I can go down to 12GB which is the minimum recommended for the 'system restore.' But in simple terms, what exactly does it do and do I need it enabled at all?
How good, or just how bad will the game run - will it have jitters, lags, errors, etc. Run too slow? And how badly will the quality be compromised?
I've seen endless videos with similar specs playing it on YouTube but somehow still not convinced, plus YouTube compresses videos heavily so I can't really tell the quality 100%.
Here's my specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU
AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics
16GB Memory
256GB SSD
Shader Model: 6.0
Windows 11
So I wanted to give AC Shadows a go then realized it's not available for PS4, lol. So then I checked on what is supposed to be my "gaming" laptop, which apparently it's not even good enough even though I purchased it about 3 years ago from Dell directly.
Anyways, I don't want to spend $70 if the game won't look good or run smoothly.
Here are my system specs:
Alienware m15 Laptop
Windows 11 Home
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU
AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics
16GB Memory
256GB SSD
And I'm pretty positive it's got 4GB of VRAM.
Is it even worth getting it with these apparently pretty lame specs, or should at this point I just cloudstream it
Yes, I'm that guy. The annoying guy that is actually into AC Odyssey and is randomly bringing up this topic in 2025 even though other games like Shadows, Mirage and Valhalla are likely more relevant at this point. But because technically all of them have gotten a fair amount of hate, specially Valhalla, Odyssey and Shadows, I just had to remind everyone why they are absolutely wrong about Odyssey. And why, if you haven't even given it a try, you definitely should.
First of all, I've seen some comments from people saying that they didn't even understand Odyssey due to the amount of side quests and how much work/hours it required.
Others complain about how different it feels from the 'or
FINALLYYYYY GOT MY ACCOUNT BACK!
I sued Meta, but that's not what did it. The process for the lawsuit takes a while! So I had contacted my State rep previously and that did it!
Just posting this so people know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the last few days had been pretty rough and I was basically already in acceptance of my account being gone for good (3 years of hard work!). This was a business/organization profile so I'm not sure if that helped me more, could be.
For now, I'm still going with the lawsuit until further notice
