I’m going on a carribean cruise next week. It will probably be the only time all year I’ll be doing day drinking or having more than one cocktail. Any drink recommendations since we have the drinks package?

I just discovered that Springfield makes a California compliant Hellcat, and a thumb manual safety Hellcat, but NOT a California compliant thumb manual safety Hellcat.

Oh well—any reason not to get the SS P365?

I bought the Form goggles for their Swim Straight feature. I was very disappointed with it. It's better than nothing, but not what they advertise.

Recently FORM changed their policy so that a monthly subscription is NO LONGER needed for the Swim Straight feature. But....they didn't tell anyone. So they have been continuing to make monthly charges, but now justifying the charges for other (entirely unwanted) features.

Just a public service announcement if you are still paying for the Swim Straight feature. And a general caution about the FORM business practices.

I just wanted to apologize and hope somehow this gets to you.

Completely my fault, and no excuse. I was just fatigued and not making smart choices.

I went down. You didn't, thank God. I don't remember anything about you, but you had the decency to ask if I was okay.

Yes, I finished the bike and finished the race.

If this finds you--I owe you a beer.

Has anyone heard about ticketed play for MagicCon Vegas 2026? It's not a huge deal for us, but last year we missed out on ticketed play and were kind of bummed out.

I just recently began selling some of my board game collection on board game geek. It’s been a really good experience. Very easy to set my shop up. And a lot of interest just in the first few days.

And, of course, as soon as I sold a few games I turned around and bought a new one. But my wife is much much happier with one new game that looks interesting in place of three or four old games that haven’t been played for five years.

I’m sure this is old news to a lot of people on this sub Reddit. But this is my first experience and a really positive one.

My son and I are going to MagicCon in Vegas this summer. I know that ticketed events are a big part of the fun. We have bought our badges, but does anyone know when ticketed events are announced and are available for purchase?

Has anyone had success with the Swim Straight feature on the Form goggles?

When I use it, the compass heading drifts through 20-30 degrees within seconds of starting to swim. Following a single compass heading results in being off target by 40-50 yards after only a few minutes of swimming. It's worse than not using the compass feature at all.

Form's customer service is useless.

Has anyone used these goggles and had an experience like what is advertised?

Last month I attempted to take the MyCert exam and was unable to do so because ABEM was updating their website and had a........3 week roll out of new log in access for the website. Their response to my inquiries was "Tough shit. We're a monopoly. Next time go into Derm."

I tried again to today. Now I can't take the exam because I need to complete "Agreements and Policies"....but even when I completed them I was unable to access the exam. Again---"tough shit."

These guys make the DMV look like a model of efficiency and customer service excellence. I have never encountered an organization that cared less for it's members. There's got to be a way to find alternative credation.

I'm preparing to take my MyCert exam this Saturday. I've been putting aside some time to study for it and booked the local library study room to insure I have a quiet couple of hours.

Apparently ABEM rolled out a new website yesterday (?). And the old sign-ins no longer work. And new sign-ins are not available. And no one at ABEM is available by phone or email to address concerns.

So...fuck me, I guess?

This fucking monopoly has been screwing me for 20 years. They keep finding new and interesting (and expensive) ways to do it. It's like paying to have cancer.

I think I would benefit from a little more directional assistance in the water.

Does anyone have a pair of Compass enbaled swim goggles they would recommend? I had assuemd these were a gimmick.....but I'm starting to reconsider.

I am doing a Tri in Europe this summer and didn't want to hassle with flying my bike out. We are going to be doing a family trip after the Tri and the inconvenience of storing the bike etc. etc. just seemed prohibitive.

I used https://www.francebikerentals.com/ to rent a bike for the event.

And now....I cant get anyone at the company to respond to my emails for more information.

Has anyone used this company and had good/bad experiences? I am starting to get a sinking sensation that I may have walked into a scam.......

Has there been a major change in the sprint weekends this year? my prior understanding was that on Sprint weekends there would be qualifying on Friday, and then a sprint race on Saturday. That sprint race would determine the starting order for the grid for Sunday's Grand Prix race.

Has that changed? Are there now two distinct races with two separate qualifyings?

what the hell is going on?

I am having a near impossible time figuring out how to buy tickets online to visit Pompeii this summer (2025).

The website states that there are various tiers of tickets for purchase.....but then directs one to a secondary website that only offer a few alternative options, and then apparently, only for the remainder of the current month?!?!

I must be doing something wrong. Has anyone had any luck with this?
