I had a Ravitch correction as a young child (5) for severe pectus that was compressing my heart. Surgery was considered successful; however, I have always dealt with decreased lung function (can’t take as deep a breath or hold my breath as long as others) and frequent palpitations.

Wondering if anyone else here had a correction as a child and experiences similar symptoms? Or knows of any support groups for adults who had the Ravitch as a child.

I have no idea if I need another repair/correction, as every doctor I’ve gone too for my various discomforts have gone “huh, you can feel every palpitation? That’s weird!” And all tests have been normal (full cardio work ups all normal except PVCs
