Hi all,

I start my new job in June and have nothing to do in quarantine until then. I want to dedicate the month of April to becoming a solid poi spinner. I’ve lurked this sub for a while and would really appreciate any advice you might have!

I put myself at early intermediate skill level. My planes are good (could always be better) and my left hand isn’t useless anymore. I have a good handle on the beginner moves: forward/reverse weaves, fountain, butterflies, tuck/reel turns, spiral wraps, basic buzzsaw plane, and some basic transitions between moves. I’ve started working on stalls and isolations, but they’re really raw and don’t “flow” super well. I was learning new moves well for a whi

Hi r/medicalschoolanki,

Just got my score back this morning (256!) and am totally in shock. Before I share my experience with y'all, I want to say a heartfelt "thank you" to u/ZankiStep1. Without your amazing contribution to this community one year ago, there is no way I could have succeeded as I did. The painstaking compilation that is Zanki allowed me to study quickly and effectively, all while keeping my sanity during the preclinical years. Yours are the giant's shoulders upon which I stand; you are the wind beneath my wings.

Also, big shout-out to u/bluegalaxies and the creators of the Pepper deck. Excellent contributions and run-through of antimicrobials and antineoplastics!

Hi all,

I've been working through the Zanki Pharm deck for antineoplastics. Compared to the neuro and heme pharm sections, this one is falling well short of the mark. Wordy cards, superfluous information, poor formatting, etc. Has this been anyone else's experience? Is the pharm card quality higher for cardio/pulm/renal/GI?

Thanks for your help!

This may belong on Moronic Mondays, but I'll let you all be the judge of that. To preface, I'm 6'0" 185lb with a pretty muscular build. I'm interested in an all-around exercise program (or at least as all-around as I can get). Here's what my weekly routine looks like at the moment.

2x upper body lifts; 1x soccer (60 mins) + 5x5 squats; 1x spin class (45 mins); 1x intense stairs (60 mins) or outdoor cycling (120 mins); 1x yoga (60 mins); 1x rest day

I'm not super strict about these activities, but I definitely get in at least 5 of 6 every week. I typically eat lean & protein-heavy during the week, and don't worry too much about it on the weekends. My question is: should I aim for a ful

So I'm taking the test in just over 2 weeks. Whew.

My question is a bit more complicated since this is the first sitting of the new MCAT. I've taken 4 full-length (7 hours!) tests from the Princeton Review, scoring in the 510-512 range. I've found them much more difficult than the old AAMC tests I've taken. The amount of cold fact recall on TPR tests is insane, and it seems like their questions are far less focused on interpreting data from passages.

Has anyone who's taken a TPR course for the old exam had a similar experience? I need some confidence right now =/
