We would like to hike up Vesuvio, for example via the Strada Matrone path. Do we still need a ticket to enter the Grand Cono path? If yes, are they strict with the time? It seems all tickets are timed to 20 minute intervals, which is kinda hard to judge when hiking up for hours. Thanks!

I'm new to Jellyfin, seems nice so far. I've installed the 10.7.7 docker container on my Synology, and can play media in the browser or the Android app. However Chromecast does not work: It connects, and I get the Jellyfin logo, but pressing play on any movie or show does not do anything. I'm trying this from the Android app.

I'm not sure how to go about debugging this, any tips?

My dad is getting older, but he's fine except for his knees. He can walk, but after walking longer than 10 mins or so he will get knee pain. Just standing is fine. He would be way to proud to use a wheelchair or "mobility scooter" (and it would be very inconvenient), so we thought about getting an M365 (or similar).

The question is, is it possible to ride at walking speed, so he can ride next to my mom while she walks? Or will the motor cut out, or is it just too wobbly at slow speeds? We don't have rental scooters here yet, so I can't try one...

Greenrail is a company that claims to produce "green" railway sleepers. They are partly made of recycled material, which is ok I guess. However, additionally they claim that their sleepers generate energy by converting the weight of passing trains into electricy. This supposedly works by adding piezoelectric devices in the sleepers under the tracks. They mention values of 1.25 MWh per 100 km track for 10-20 passing trains.

Is this really possible, or will the extra energy just come from the train which has to use more gas or

I'm just looking to get a new kite, and have been searching the shops for good prices (don't need the newest model). I noticed there are lot's of Liquid Force Envys on sale, more that other models I think. Are those kites fine or does that model have some disadvantages I don't know about?

I just noticed a dl from tweaknews getting slow, and then starting to get errors related to login or TLS. I didn't change any settings, so it must be them. Then I remembered that the same happened last week or the one before on Sunday, an then I thought it must be GoT related overload. But that's not even out yet...

So some recipes, mostly for asian food, require you to grind some semidry vegetables to a paste. For example I just tried making this curry, and you're supposed to grind onions, garlic, and some other things to a paste. I own a chopper like this, but with that mixture it just cuts for 2 seconds until everything sticks to the walls and below the blade. To actually get it to cut the stuff without manual intervention I have to add quite a bit of water, but then I don't get a paste as a resu

So since a while now there are loads of randomly named postings, which seem to contain good stuff when tested. I assume these are linked to what's inside on some sort of forum etc.? Are any of those kind of well known and still give out accounts, like indexers, or does that all happen on super secret sites no one knows about? ;)
