I am curious what you all would do given a basically unlimited budget to build the best 20-person capacity board/war room. The room is longer than it is wide, but the tables will be v-shaped for better viewing of the front.
Dual primary displays at the front are a must, some sort of high-end PTZ camera that can frame the CEO at the furthest seat.
Teams and Zoom capabilities that are not dependent on a PC, screen sharing from laptop wireless-ly.
What am I missing? What all should I use?
So I am looking at getting my first CO2 laser cutter, but I don't have an air compressor.
I DO however have a LOT of argon for Tig welding, can I use it instead?
Good day. So I recently upgraded my GPU (which was its own fun process thanks to PCIe Gen 5.. I think) I do have to have the slot set to Gen4 in the UEFI settings.
However now, even after a clean (from USB) install of Windows 11 pro, sometimes after reboot just after I log in the screens go black and eventually the whole system resets. Not always, just most times.
Have tried a couple of versions of nVidia drivers but they all exhibit the same behavior.
Have tried disabling fast-boot but that hasn't helped either. If I make it past the usual crash point everything works as expected.
Short of a new motherboard what are my options? Thank you in advance!
Good day! I am working out a setup and could use recommendations on a mixer for a Conference/Livestream mobile setup.
My hope is for it to have good processing so I don't have to ride faders for Lav mics that are pushed to a PA/House system.
My main use to have it support Dante and some way of I/O so I could setup a talent talk-back ability. (Where the talent hits a button to mute themselves to everything else besides the producers)
I will also likely have sub-bus setup to be IBF for the talent, but I don't think this will be a problem for modern mixers.
So far it looks like the X32 rack will fit my needs, but open to other suggestions as it has so many In/Out I don't need.
Are you a licensed Ham operator that has a basic understanding of ARPS and would be willing to help provide mission-critical communications for a fundraiser event this weekend (July 19th through July 21) near Leadville Colorado? WE NEED YOU! (Lodging provided to those who can volunteer for the whole weekend)
Since 1990 the Courage Classic bicycle tour has raised money for the Children's Hospital to help those in need. Due to the very scenic nature of the route the only communications coverage possible is via ham radio and this year we are short at least 4 volunteers.
The majority of the open positions are best served by hav

Curious on why one would or would not use a tool like this Needle tenderizer as part of making steaks?
I have a buddy that swears by it when making ribeye, I have never seen it done or mentioned in cookbooks I have read.
Good day r/Networking! I am looking for options to solve my site-2-site VPN device needs. We currently tunnel all traffic from our remote sites back to our data-center using Meraki Z3's (about a dozen sites).
For a few reasons (effective throughput, cost) we are considering dropping Meraki. So I have been tasked with finding alternates. I have hope we could use something lower cost with better throughput and I am told Wireguard is the answer (is it really better than L2Tp/IPsec?)
I have some experience with UniFi gateways, but they are terrible at doing VPN when there is NAT traversal required. (Some of our sites are double-NAT to makes things worse).
What options do I have for a low-ish
Good day, I am having a bad day as my Hyperflex cluster decided to drop the datastore for some reason and I barely knew how to administer it before all of this. Anywhere I can go for help to get it running again besides Cisco TAC (long story there)?
Thanks in advance!
So I am working out an issue and I need to If/Then based on a users mailbox size. I thought the following was working, but just found out it does not.
(Get-MailboxStatistics -Identity [email protected]).TotalItemSize.Value -replace '.+\(|bytes\)' -lt "50GB"
I have one user, Builder Bob, that has a mailbox size of 4.017 MB (4,211,613 bytes) and the above evaluates to True and the script works.
However, Walter White has a mailbox size of 66.38 MB (69,602,434 bytes) and the above evaluates to False and the script breaks.
With VMWare having been eaten by Broadcorn I figure it's a good time to really dig into running Hyper-V as my main hypervisor in my home lab.
So I grab Windows Server 2019 Core and install it on some bare metal, have some fun learning what its like to "live" with server core but I figure this will also be good to know for future use as well. Get Hyper-V installed and running OK good.
EXCEPT I cannot get Hyper-V manager to connect from my Windows 11 laptop to manage VM's etc. WHAT YEAR IS THIS that I have to use a Desktop App to manage guests in a hypervisor???
I know there are third party tools that add a WebUI to H-V, but I would rather know what hoops I need to jump so I can manage this
I am building a setup for a new show and need software to playback some basic assets like Photos (in a slide-show style) and perhaps a couple of videos.
What software options are there besides ProPresenter and importing them as inputs in vMix?
