The newest story map inspired me to submit this.

For whatever reason, all the tracks from GBA FE just sound completely off in FEH. I don't know the technical reason for this, but some tracks are hit harder than others. The FE8 track "The Promised Land", which plays on the newest story map, is hit especially hard. The main melody is almost completely drowned out in parts of it, and certain instruments sound way too loud or completely wrong.

As far as I'm aware, this is only a problem with the music from the GBA FE games, but let me know if

I have access to a friend's account, so whenever I needed to grind Favor in the past, I'd use my spare phone to match my friend by simply going into battle at the same time on both my own and my friend's account. Book 3 and Prior is so dead that I'd almost always find my friend's team immediately.

In the past, I would have to wait about 30 minutes or so after a match if I wanted to match my friend's account again, but this worked consistently. Match my friend's account, wait 30 minutes, do it again. Fairly stress free way to grind favor during slow weekends.

Just two quick questions about these modes, since I just hit tier 11 in Duels S with a few lives left:

1. At what tier do you stop meeting AI units? I seem to recall I stopped getting AI opponents after a defeat once I hit tier 11 in Duels R, so it'd be nice with a confirmation.

2. Do you start at the bottom of your current tier when a new season starts? I feel like I should know this, but I honestly don't remember, and the "?" tip is very unhelpful ("When a new season begins, you will start the season with an amount of Glory based on your Tier"). Don't really wanna risk getting kicked to the bottom of tier 10.

It's been a few years since the last marathon, but thanks to organizer Rossu123, we have another Metroid Marathon coming this year. It will be hosted on Speedgaming2 and starts at 12PM EST, August 17.

The marathon will last throughout the weekend and will feature speedruns of most Metroid games, including fangames and ROM hacks, with a variety of categories and races by some really good Metroid runners.

The run

I got this time yesterday and smashed my old PB by about 27 seconds, which is a huge step up. This is the 3rd fastest run in any% according to in game time, or the 2nd fastest in real time. Leaderboards are here.

There are still a few strategies I really need to improve. I do a fair amount of sub-optimal stuff for consistency's sake, but I imagine this record will be really hard to beat unless I start implementing some of the strategies I don't use currently.
