To start off, my primary focus is CMPE. I don't expect nor want that to change. I do sometimes wish I could study biology or chemistry to a point where I could somehow integrate the skills I've developed in CMPE. The thought of double majoring in one of those strikes me as silly, especially since I'm already a senior. Aside from dropping the interest in them altogether, is there anything I could do about this secondary academic desire?

So I recently gave lucid dreaming another go, about a month ago actually. When I was practicing a year ago, I had 2 mildly vivid LD's, but wasn't invested that much. This time, I've been practicing for a little over a month, and just this afternoon during a short nap I had the longest, most vivid LD ever. I had an amazing level of control, as I was in a grocery store making tons of fingers appear on my hand and such because.. it's a blast for some reason! Anyways, I go over to a small group of dream characters and this is where it all gets really weird.

I go grab one of the females, getting a dirty thought, and tell myself a bathroom will appear around the corner, and to my shock I made it

I'm curious as to how hypnagogia might vary from person to person, particularly between those that frequently lucid dream and those that don't. Mine personally begins as colors floating around my eyes, whether they're open or closed, that are like dim, thin film interference (like gasoline spilled onto the ground). Then I get a loud buzzing in my ears, which might be tinnitus but it gets pretty loud compared to the normal ring. After about 10 minutes, I start to feel like my entire being is flattened out and my hands go numb as the rest of my body drifts away. I'm pretty bad at carrying on from here because the numbness and flat feeling making me panic and jolt awake before I can enter the d

I'm writing this in bed after scaring myself over something silly. I was trying the counting method I'd read about just 15 minutes ago (falling asleep while counting 1 I am dreaming, 2 I am dreaming.. and so on) and as I neared 100, I got the familiar wave of numbness and dreamy, hypnogogic hallucinating that is normally.. a really good sign! I stop myself and shake my head awake because I'm afraid of suddenly feeling lucid though. The sleep paralysis is also scary, but I've seen it addressed many times so it's no issue. How do you overcome that last bit of anxiety when dream land is right in your grasp?

Who is ONE?

Question

I've been looking into it, and it's probably not that important, but who exactly is the author behind the series? I get the point of the pseudonym, but why did he choose to live outside of the spotlight. It seems like a silly thing to wonder, but when a story gets fun or interesting it leaves you curious about what kind of person the author is. I've also been curious as to whether or not he's bald, I feel like that would answer all of my questions.

So I recently got this stepper motor and since I'm temporarily lacking for a proper power supply, would it hurt to make a simple h-bridge for each coil out of some 2N4401 npn transistors and a 9V battery? It would be driven by an FPGA, with 3.3V logic. I read through the gecko paper that's always referred to, but I still feel ignorant in the design of stepper motor drivers.
