I seem to have outgrown my venerable Pigtronix Infinity Looper. In the past, I’d use it to record a live chord progression to solo on top. But I also used to save ambient/quirky song intros for our shows. But my looper has only nine slots for saving, and I’m on pace to outstrip that. Any guidance? My wish list:
- Great audio quality/fidelity
- Easy-ish to use
- Good number of preset/save slots
- No wacky power requirements
Thanks!
Hello, friends! I play in a KC-area indie band, and we’re thinking about some lighting/visual effects to bring to shows as a way to stand out. I have no idea where to begin. So I ask you, what were some memorable lighting/visual effects you’ve seen from indie acts?
More info:
-We typically share the stage with two or three other bands and play a 45-minute to hour-long set.
-Our music bounces between ambient/experimental and jagged garage rock.
-Influence over the venue’s house and stage lighting is variable.
-Venues skew to the smaller side.
Thanks so much!

After 40 of toiling for the man, my wife’s stepdad is retiring. We’d love to treat him to a great meal. He’s a straight-shooting, blue-collar union dude, and not wild about food that skews more foodie or adventurous. He’s a Jack-and-Coke Harley guy who unironically wears cutoff shirts and adores fried chicken, shrimp, and a simple steak. Bonus if the place tolerates small humans.
Has to be pretty much every time I log on. It especially drives me absolutely nuts during faction events, when the LTOs pop in as I’m acknowledging completed shuttle missions. Extra annoying that the buttons to complete the shuttle mission and buy an LTO are in the same place.
End of rant. Carry on.
I spent a nontrivial portion of my early career on these boards to kill time. Curious if any other people found their way here.
