I've been dealing with this since the pandemic. I used to be a very skilled runner, but at some point during the pandemic I started having huge problems breathing. The breathing problems made running harder, and like an idiot I blamed it on "Long Covid" and I ran even less just in case it was dangerous.

Fast forward 3 years the doctor scopes me and says my esophagus is irritated and he puts me on Omeprazol.

It's been a year and it has fixed exactly nothing. I have a huge amount of phlegm in my throat at all times and eating usually dislodges it. I have started to run again breathing issues be damned, and it seems like some runs go ok some runs are a disaster due to phlegm. I always h

I don't work for UPS Store yet, we're a smalller shipping/copy shop franchise that is migrating over in the next 3 to 6 months.

Our software is pretty limited right now, for one we can't generate a label and charge someone's own UPS account. Is that something the UPS Store can do?

What about generating a label for another sending location? Currently our software originates in our city, but what if someone wants to buy a label and then email a PDF of it to a family member to ship something back to our location. Is that something UPS Store software can do?

I currently work for a non UPSS franchise that has signed the paperwork to become a UPSS sometime. It's actually been over a year since we 100% committed. My understanding is the hang up is over our print shop.

Our current franchise doesn't give a shit what we do, they cash our checks and that's literally it. We leased their minimum equipment, but then we've gone way above and beyond and bought a ton of high end printing gear to do pretty much anything involving paper. We can't print our own yard signs, that's pretty much the only thing we can't do in house.

So to that end the manager really sees us as a high end print shop that caters to business and other discerning clientele and I

I work for a locally owned copy shop but we should be a UPS store by the end of 2024. We get about 2 customers a year coming in to ship iphones or use our copiers to email Steam and itunes cards, or asking us to help with some other sort of obviously sketchy behavior.

I just saw the same customer back to back weekends and the dollar amounts were small, $200 total, I had never seen this particular customer before and my policy is to kind of wait for the customer to SAY something that I can jump on. She had 4 steam cards she needed the codes and the receipts emailed to an address. So obviously on the face this is a scam, but she never said a word so I didn't insert myself into the situati

My troop recently went to a camporee with our entire troop. It's the first time in ages we had so many boys, but our resident problem scout was there and of course he did his normal thing. This particular trip was 5 minutes from home, so we didn't even talk about it, the scout master that found it, immediately called the scout's father and said, "Come get him, and bring us more food."

So what happened was, as the kids were being dropped off one by one, they were putting their portion of food on this table, then going about setting up camp. This scout saw the box of Twinkies and the package of Oreos and decided he needed them. He set up his tent, grabbed those items and went into his ten

Hello all, I have sort of an Eagle Project opinion poll that I'd love to get some opinions on.

So I'm the Eagle BOR Chair for my district and we did 4 Eagles last night. Two of the projects were great, out in the woods, building, digging, humping gear all around, lots of volunteers.

The next one was a little weaker, and while it's not my job to question the project at this point, I always think about how one kid will build and install 20 benches in a woods and another spreads mulch and I know every scout has their own capabilities and we're not comparing scouts to scouts.

The final project however made me sit up straight and wonder what the heck our project approver is smoking.

So I work part time in a retail store. A month ago most of the staff got an email from the owner asking for gift cards. I called the boss immediately and told him and told him what to do to mitigate this.

Then yesterday the boss emailed me a copy of an email our office lady received.

It was from me. To her. Asking about making a payroll change, I think it referenced direct deposit. So presumably the scammer wanted her to say, "Is your routing number still 1234, and your account still 567890?"

She is the proper person to email this request to. How did they know?

They had my full name. They obviously knew I worked there.

They created a signature on the email. I have never ever use

Typical Customer

Other Post Type

So I work in a copy shop and we do light graphic design. We have three employees with above average design skills, but none of us are really artists, we probably couldn't design a top notch logo if we had to. This is usually fine. We have Adobe Stock, so when customers want a business card we start with a nice graphic, throw in a custom or pre-made background, type in the details, color coordinate, and the customer is usually delighted.

I had a customer contact me first thing on Saturday morning this weekend for a business card design. He said he had been working with a colleague but wasn't getting anywhere. I say, "Yeah, he can get busy, I can take over, what are we doing."

The guy s

I've beaten the game and I know I should be working on building, but with no one else to play with it seems kind of pointless. Does anyone have any room on their server that I could join and do some building while we wait on updates? DM me your info if you have room for someone new. I promise not to grief anyone.

Stretched design

Troubleshooting

Ran into a bit of a problem this week and am not sure what the best course forward is. I mostly print very abstract designs, messy, paint splatters, streaks, random shapes, stuff like that. So at the end of the day, it's pretty hard to actually fuck up the printing of one of my shirts. If I smudge the ink it looks ok. I know it's a mistake, but I just gift them to a friend and they are happy with it. I recently did a shirt that wasn't near as messy and when I printed the first design I thought it looked too tall on the shirt. The background as I recall was a perfect circle, but it came out looking like an oval from top to bottom.

I didn't think too much of it, but after printing a b

AI Design

Discussion

I've worked in a copy shop part time for about a decade and I've never really given AI much thought even though I see lots of headlines like "AI is going to steal every job" and even some that say AI can do better graphic design than a human.

Seems dumb and far off to me, but lately I've been getting artists coming into the shop printing out posters of their AI art. There is one that likes to talk shop and wait on his posters to print out on our Design Jet so we usually have half an hour at a time to chit chat.

Then when Adobe put their little AI thing into Illustrator I used it a bunch to check it out. Most things it generates are just weird. Maybe there are few usable elements in
