Does anyone have any information as to what happened at 117 and 9 this evening around 8:30.

Looked to be a pretty serious accident involving a motorcycle.

I, like all of people, have been watching some 9/11 documentaries.

If there had been clouds on 9/11 over the northeast, could the hijackers have been successful?

9/11 is always remarked as a beautiful day so the pilots could fly completely VFR and follow the landscape to where they were trying to go.

Would the hijackers be able to navigate to NYC or Dc and accurately make it to their targets?

I like a mid rare steak, personally. But I find the overt hatred of well done steak to be, well, overdone.

Some people just don’t like the taste. Or they don’t like the idea of eating something undercooked because that’s how they were raised. In the US we are having this issue right now with pork. Now medium well is fine with little pink in the center. But try telling that to a person raised on the idea that undercooked pork will kill you.

On top of all this a well done steak CAN be made to taste good if you know what you’re doing.

House Lannister has been trying to get its hands on a Valyrian steel sword for hundreds of years.

Through his own prowess in war, Tywin manages to get 2 forged from the steel he took from his enemies.

Even if he didn’t want to wield one himself, why not name one at least. The one he gives to Jamie most likely. He does not do this and winds up with Widow’s wail and Oathkeeper.

One of those swords should have been brightroar come again.

FOUR years, 31 episodes and approximately as many hours of content later that so much of if would be about the male characters wanting to fuck their own mothers, I would not have believed you.

I don’t understand what they’re trying to say with this anymore.

Who am I supposed to root for here? The fratricidal maniac with an oedipus complex? Or the fratricidal maniac who poisons her own son while reminding him of how she cared for him as a child?

I actually enjoyed the Sunfyre scene.

It does not come off as comic relief as others are saying.

Aegon vaguely knows that Sunfyre is alive. He does not know he’s there when he makes his last speech/stand. Sword in hand waiting to die.

He sees Sunfyre and commands him to burn his enemies, and laughs like a madman. I cannot wait for that dragon to burn the bitch queen. Righteous in vengeance.

It’s stated in the books that master forges his chain through mastery of different subjects. He gets a certain link for ravenry, accounting, Warcraft, etc.

First off. Anyone who hates Skylar in the later seasons or questions her actions over Walt’s is delusional.

However, on rewatches Skylar fucking SUCKS (or rather, doesn’t…) in the first few episodes.

Every scene she’s in she just nags, complains, puts Walt down, and is generally just unpleasant. Especially the medical scenes in my opinion.

She’s almost set up as an antagonist early on. That’s why it’s hard for people to let go of hating her later. Also she’s no angel throughout, but nothing compared to Walt.

Don leaves a lot to be desired in the parenting department, but this arc always makes me weirdly happy.

Betty urges Don to spank/hit Bobby for misbehaving, and eventually Don stands on business and says he will not ever hit his children because of what he went through as a child.

First off, it just shows that whatever his MANY flaws, he does have a heart.

Second and more personally, there was unfortunately a similar dynamic in my home growing up. When I was around 8 my dad was yelling at me about something or other and my mother had said something like what Betty said to Bobby “wait til your father gets home!” In a threat of physical violence kind of way.

Any history buffs on here able to explain the origins of “Westchester” as a name for the county?

Westchester implies the existence of a central “Chester”. We have eastchester and port Chester as towns, but what about a town called Westchester?

This post may or may not be inspired by Phoebe on FRIENDS saying that Westchester was “the worst of the Chester’s” in one of the later seasons.
