I've been reading more and more about motorcycling.

As I read about concepts like countersteering and general safety and traffic awareness in the motorcycle world, it makes me think of my bicycling experience in my teens and early twenties.

And then I just read a thread on here about riding in the Bay Area and many people emphasized the danger of riding in San Francisco.

I was born and raised there and used to ride everywhere I went for many years coming of age in the City. I got really damn good at riding a bicycle through the traffic, reading the traffic, getting in the zone and just killing shit. I never did the stupid fixie thing but all my friends did and I rode like them. I rode i

I hate when people do flying shit at me. It makes me want to slam them. I don't see why it's my responsibility to hold their weight up and put them down gently when they chose to come flying at me.

I can understand not full on body slamming them with my own weight on top, but I don't get why I can't throw them off of me while standing and let their squirrely asses hit the ground on their own (a risk they were taking anyway when they chose to come flying at me).

Something like 3:25 in this video, I don't get why I can't throw someone off of me like that. That shouldn't be an illegal slam in my mind (although the setup is different than I'm talking about, wi

Hey friends,

Been rolling for a little bit now, still a white belt or course.

Feel happy with my progress and have gotten in well with the hardcore regular upper belts. Very recently, though, I have gotten into a some weird interactions with purples who don't come in as often, who I don't really know.

Both are much lighter than me, easily 50+ lbs difference. In the last two days I rolled with both of them once each time. Both times they finally finished me, they both immediately got up from the mat and walked off. One of them threw his belt and jacket off in what looked like a huff and went and sat with the other higher ranks and looked like he was blowing off steam.

Both rolls, I wa

Welp, loved it as I imagined I would, and I'm confident enough in the construction now to let one of them go.

When I first received, one swung a little better than the other with the handle drop test, so I boxed the better one and decided to play with the one that the "bite" handle didn't swing as high as the others on the test.

Now it's broken in and passes the handle drop better than the boxed one did.

Like em both so willing to sell either. There's a markup on the unused one. Both of these had the $4 pivot polishing.

$150+shipping for the one I've been playing with, has two small dings in the handle.

$175+shipping for the unused one.

Will ship anywhere if you'll pay for it.

Hey there clay smoking friends.

I'm quite new the game(s). Been shooting trap with an old Citori and enjoying the hell out of it. Will be dabbling in the other games soon.

So here's my question/postulation: Why does rib height actually matter?

So I get that we like high ribs for trap to promote higher poi, and sporting generally prefers flatter ribs for flatter poi.

But... Aren't we not supposed to be looking down the barrels or aiming anyway?

If I'm hard focusing the target and just pointing, why does it matter what the rib is set at?

Shouldn't I theoretically be pointing the gun in the same place either way?

Or do our brains subconsciously pick up the rib and use that as p
