We’re flying direct to Paris next week, departing at 6:10pm, and are not checking any bags. Is there any need to get to the airport super early??
I experienced a flurry of episodes with blind spots in my right eye in early October. Ophthalmologist diagnosed “Hypertensive Retinopathy OU (Attenuated vessels, and AV nicking OU) & Stable CRVO OD.
I’m doing a much better job of managing my blood pressure, which seems to have spiked in late September. (I used to take 50mg Losartan each morning, now take 25mg at 6am & another 25mg at 6pm each day. Also, I’ve cut back on alcohol consumption, which was 2, sometimes 3 drinks each day; now 4-5 per week.) Diet is excellent and I exercise regularly; weigh 15# less than I did 25 years ago (BMI 23.1) I take a low dose of Lipitor (10mg every other day), and Omeprazole for GERD; no other Rx. In othe
Title pretty much says it all: Thursday night flight to Iceland (and then to Dublin), departs at 8:30pm. I’m assuming that if we get there at 6pm, we’ll be fine. Yes?? (We have TSA Pre and are not checking bags. The couple we’re traveling with may check a couple of bags.) Icelandair. Getting to RDU via Uber, so no need to park a car. TIA for your help/advice.
Two couples, traveling from Raleigh NC to Ireland in early June of next year. We’d love to hit both Ireland and Northern Ireland, but I’m a bit concerned about trip length and whether we’ll end up wearing ourselves out (our friends are in their 50’s, we’re in our early 70’s, but very active and fit). We’re most excited about learning about the countrys’ history and culture, really want to enjoy pubs and trad music, and we all love food. I’m into photography and look forward to capturing dramatic seascapes and documenting our trip. Anyway, I’ve written this up in a way that provides us with a few options. Appreciate all advice. Oh - this will be our first visit to Ireland.

We’re planning on spending a couple of weeks in Ireland next June with another couple. Our friends are in their 50’s, we’re in our early 70’s, but are fit. We want to see as many of the “can’t miss” sites and towns as possible. We’re interested in photography, history, culture and traditional music. I’ve tried to limit the number of one night stays so we’re not unpacking and packing a lot, but having never visited Ireland before, it seems unavoidable to a degree. In any event, I’d really appreciate some feedback, and suggestions are welcome. TIA for your help!

We’re thinking of visiting Glacier NP in late September of next year, and then going down to the Grand Canyon. Is anything shut down in late September? I assume Going to the Sun is still open… how about rafting tours, or red bus tours? We’d like to avoid crowds, but don’t want to miss any of the highlights. TIA for any help & advice.

Old farts, on our way to Louisville for some distillery tours and a PGA Championship practice round, stopping in Charleston for a day/overnight. Any fun cultural / historical stuff to do on a Sunday??
We went there over Christmas and loved it; the bartender mentioned it'd been sold. Does anyone know what the future holds for this spot?
