So my birthday is coming up, and I’m itching to upgrade to a QD-OLED display—specifically an ultrawide. But I’m stuck between pulling the trigger now or waiting for next-gen panels. Here’s my situation:

Options I’m considering:

  1. Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 G93SD (€1,126.57)
    • Gen 2 QD-OLED | 32:9 Super Ultrawide | 240Hz
    • Pros: Newer panel techwith improved pixel layout, anti-reflective coating.
    • Cons: 32:9 may strain my RTX 3090 (resolution demands), limited game/app support for super-ultrawide. No KVM or USB-C video-output.
  2. Gigabyte MO34WQC2 (€827,00)
    • Gen 1 QD-OLED | 21:9 Standard Ultrawide | 240Hz
    • Pros: Cheaper, includes KVM + USB-C (18W power delive

Hello r/selfhosted,

I’m encountering an issue with my current setup and could use some advice. Here’s my configuration:

  • I have a Caddy webserver acting as a reverse proxy for several services, including Jellyfin.
  • Caddy is configured with the Cloudflared DNS plugin.
  • The setup is behind a Cloudflared tunnel to avoid opening port 443 on my network.
  • The problem arises when users watch content and skip back and forth. Occasionally, the video buffers indefinitely, requiring them to restart the app or reopen the series. This issue does not occur when accessing the Caddy webserver directly.

I’m wondering if there’s a way to resolve this buffering problem or if I should consider avoiding

Hey everyone!

I’m setting up a server on a mini PC that only has USB ports for expanding storage. I have a variety of drives lying around, so I'm considering an external multi-bay enclosure to connect them all.

My main question is about the best setup option: Should I go with SPAN mode and let the enclosure handle combining the drives, or would JBOD with LVM be a better choice for more flexibility?

I’d also appreciate any recommendations on reliable multi-bay enclosures that work well over USB. Any advice on performance, compatibility, or things to watch out for would be super helpful!

Thanks in advance!

If you wanted any of the newer Ubisoft games, they're sold at a HIGH discount during the Epic Mega Sale of the Epic Games Store.

I really didn't want to buy from the sale because I generally dislike the launcher. But now that I know I won't have to use the launcher itself (for Ubisoft games), I bought a ton of Ubisoft games I wanted.

Sorry if it seems I'm selling out but I just wanted to let you guys know.
