I have a NSR125RR JC22 2001, and currently struggling with idle. It has a new spark plug running a 138 main, 42 pilot and 65 power. It’ll start but won’t hold idle. If I turn the pilot screw to the left it idles (barely) and then dies if I turn to the right it just doesn’t live. The needle clip is in the middle but the bike is running rich regardless. Do I drop pilot jet?
Hiya, I’m not very well versed in carburettors and I’ve been trying to get my HONDA NSR125R 2001 to run. It has the stock air box, derestricted exhaust, carbon reeds, dellorto PHBH 28 running a 130 main jet. I had it running on a 138 but it died on me an hour later and the spark plug was incredibly black. But since changing the main jet to 130 it doesn’t start this is my last attempt of doing it myself before it goes to the garage cos I’m confused now. Please help
So I recently sold my motorcycle, the guy came with his friend and dad and checked the bike over. They test rode it, started it from cold, I showed them all the work I had done on the bike to get it to the condition I was comfortable selling it. I had owned the bike for a year and whenever I problem came up it was promptly repaired, I included the list in my advert.
The buyer rode the bike home and I messaged him later in the day to make sure he made it back okay as I was concerned given the distance he had to go and had only just passed his Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). He responded saying he made it back and just for good measure I asked if the bike was still all good to which he rep
I replaced the battery and managed to bump start the bike. However it’s spitting fuel out everywhere and not idling. What’s my next step?
It’s a HONDA NSR125R 2001 foxeye
I just bought a Honda NSR125R knowing there was a starter issue and needs a new idle jet. Idle jet has been replaced but im unsure about the starter issue. When I turn the key no lights appear and I’ve checked the battery and it was 8v. I charged the battery to 12v and put back in the bike turned the key and the bike went down to 2v but when I turn the key to off it raises to 3v. I don’t recognise the brand of battery so I’ll be buying a new Yuasa one but any ideas on what the issue could be?
