Pretty cool HH side-by-side comparison video from Drum Center of Portsmouth.
Hi. Long time lurker, 1st time poster. With the rise of small venues & folks recording on cells, have spent a bit of time creating a set that translates well live AND on cell phones. Everything's working (right snare, drum sizes, cymbals) except my HHs. They cut thru too much in cell recordings (only). Have 3 sets (14" Quick Beats, 15" Quick Beats, a ZBT/Rock hybrid). Love them all, but they cut thru on a cell mix too much.
Suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Old timer here. Please hip me if my understanding is somehow no longer relevant. But, "back in the day," seemed like anyone who utilized separate components knew to (after proper setup): 1) ensure turntable is on flat service 2) isolate (never on a speaker/unstable surface) & 3) avoid heat & electrical sources (never on your amp - for your amp's health as well.) So, why the heck do so many posts show turntables on top of amps? Am I missing something? Did MP3s & Bluetooth make folks not care about fidelity? ✌️🎶
