I've been struggling for the past couple of months after an event which left me holding all of the trauma memories we're aware of. Before then I had been the host and did not identify with any trauma memories. I had the feeling that it happened to all of the other parts, but that it didn't happen to me in the same way. Now all of the other parts are saying they don't identify with those memories, but I identify with them all. It has been really overwhelming, and it feels like one person (or personality state, so to speak) isn't supposed to hold all of this trauma. It's caused me a great deal of distress, flashbacks, and depression, and I'm avoiding a lot of painful feelings related to the

I love On Cinema, but I've been rewatching old episodes and something doesn't sit right with me. For a show that's supposed to be about movies, it seems odd that it isn't in movie format itself. If they released On Cinema in 90 minute increments, or even better 120 minutes, I would be able to enjoy my favorite show as a movie. Just imagine, 2 hours of Popcorn Classics each release. Plus it gives them a perfect opportunity to name the movies in a coherent format. On Cinema, On Cinema 2, etc. Subsequent "seasons" could be On Cinema: The Reboot, On Cinema, The Reboot 2, etc. Just seems like a really obvious decision. If Gregg had more creative control I feel like we would have seen this a decad

A few years ago I developed manic and psychotic symptoms, completely out of the blue. It got very severe very quickly. Initially I was diagnosed with Bipolar I, which was later changed to Schizoaffective Bipolar Type. My psychosis was severe. I had a lot of persecutory delusions and grandiose thinking that put me in unsafe situations. I also had specific delusions that people were planting thoughts in my head. I didn't hear voices-I just had the experience that some of the thoughts occurring in my head did not belong to me and thus must have been put there by someone else. I was hospitalized 5 times in 2 years. I was profoundly detached from reality. Yet I would vacillate between being lucid

Lately our PTSD has been really bad and we're having a lot of flashbacks. When we have flashbacks we experience a lot of jerking movements and muscle contractions, like starting to curl into a ball and then jerking backwards, with all my muscles tense. We don't have control of our body when this happens. The flashbacks can last a long time-a couple nights ago it might have been 45 minutes-though it wasn't constant and I would come out for a bit before getting sucked back in. Other parts are aware when I'm having a flashback and they try to ground me, which sometimes is helpful, but often it's like there's a wall between us and I can't hear them. I watched a couple CTAD clinic videos on flash

I've been really stuck in a depressive episode the past couple of weeks. I haven't been able to do anything that requires any degree of focus or attention and have mostly been doomscrolling pursing one quick dopamine hit after another, or opening up one youtube video and then closing it and opening up another one a minute later. Today I closed all my tabs except Star Trek, sat there, and watched a whole episode. And I enjoyed it.

How worried should i be about certain therapeutic practices? I've read about false memories and suggestive therapy practices, but I don't what qualifies as something that might create a false memory. For instance, if a therapist organically observes something during a session and says "Did X happen when you were a child", would that be suggestive enough on its own to create a false memory? Or would it be more like therapy where you're specifically setting out some time to recover a particular memory? I have a tough time trusting my memories as it is and want to be certain I'm not adding fuel to the fire

I've been having some issues with my current counselor that have been bugging me for a while. In the course of therapy I've recovered a lot of trauma memories. I have always had a very difficult time trusting my memories to be accurate--worried about false memories and all that. When we're doing trauma exploration she sometimes asks leading questions that I worry suggest trauma--or plant the idea in our head. For example, if I have a part that's saying he's worried nobody will believe us about our DID, she might say "sometimes abusers tell their victims nobody will believe them if they tell about the abuse. Is it possible the feeling you have now is connected to something like that happening

I ran into an issue with the army maintenance cost on my Venice run. I just recruited some regulars (my first) and the slider for my army maintenance doesn't seem to change the cost at all. If I have it at 100% it costs 3.91, and if I have it at 50% it's the exact same. The morale changes if I have it defunded so the slider is doing something. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

I just got this game and am trying to learn the mechanics, and am having a hard time with my economy and food costs. For every country I pick, each winter my income absolutely tanks. I've isolated it to food costs. It makes sense that food production goes down and I sell less food and need to pay to distribute it, but the impact on my economy is so considerable there has to be something I'm not seeing. I can just defund the food slider but that probably has negative consequences elsewhere. I've tried watching guides but they mostly gloss over food as if it isn't as important as it is in every game I run. Did they change food mechanics considerably since the game released? I'm having a hard
